Default STS - Where to put WBO2

I have an STS system (t67) w/mods below and I installed the wide band O2 in the y-pipe. I haven't gotten tuning yet, but it reads really lean (19.8) as the manifold pressure goes from negative to positive. I haven't been over 1psi yet, because of tune. I also need accurate O2 for tuning. Is it having problems with the pressure? It seems to me I've read something about that in the past and can't find it now. Would it be ok to put it after the turbo in the tail pipe? How far is it safe to extend the O2 wires?

Thanks in advance.

you want it post turbo.

the backpressure from the turbo will screw up your readings if you have it in the Y pipe.

i read someone had theirs before the turbo and it threw it off a point. My friends is before the turbo and we THINK it is showing a point richer than it really is. Just some info for ya

After the Turbo. We found that it read 1 point leaner before the Turbo on a STS.

I have mine in the y-pipe, I also have no cats. According to the folks at Innovate, this location is ideal for the STS setup. Matter of fact, here is the e-mail from them.

Dave,

With the STS kit you really have no choice but to mount the sensor
before the turbo. Luckily the exhaust pressure and temperature with the
SYS kits are low enough that readings are not effected. In your case,
place the sensor before the CAT and before the turbo.

The last time I was at the dyno we put the inovative in the Y pipe and then the Dyno AFR in the tip. We found that the Dyno AFR was 1 point leaner then my Inovative. We trusted the Dyno AFR over the inovative.
