Hey buddy sorry I missed out on your big day. I know you were pretty excited.

Unfortunately my differential was starting to pop and was in need of some quick repairs.

I hopefully will have my car up and running tommorow and I'll stop by.

Again, sorry for missing out

Don't sweat the dyno numbers either, PNYKLR was only putting down 400 actual through a stick and he was running borderline low 11's.

Let the slips do the talking

PNYKILR who is that, oohh that guy that still ran slower than me at the track 11.1 for me 11.2's 11.3 for him....

Don't ever compare a slower car to me again or you will DIE

Stop by and I'll show you this car isn't making 474

Well if he was slowly rolling into the throttle that would explain your graphs. Barely taking it over 6k rpms probably didnt help much either. Don't sweat it man I'd put money on your car over any 600 hp mustang in this town. Hope to see your setup sometime.

do you have a load bearing dyno anywhere near you.
i dont think id use anything but that and the street/track to tune or measure HP.

I'm so disappointed.....I think i'll just lay in bed all day today and eat ice cream

You ruined my day Frcefed

Nah JK bro...don't let the #s fool you...if your happy with the way it performs on the street, thats all that matters....I'm sure you'll reach your goals once the track opens....

Might as well try that local dyno out too, just throw a few stickers on the car for some extra HP

can you run somebody who is making more numbers than you on the street and get it on vid? that'll be a good way to test your car out.

even at your elevation, I think you car should be making more power i'm sure you'll get it figured out.

Get me som, pretty much the fastest LS1 here in town as far as track times go. The car doesn't run like it does on the street like it did on the dyno....it was just plain embarrassing. Watching my boost/rpms today. I'm pretty much at full boost by 4000rpms(15psi) and the car is moving like jet by that time.

2002 Trans Am, LOL! Stay away from Ben and Jerrys, I got hooked on that stuff and my race weight suffers to this day from that stuff

Smokin, one state away in Colorado. 4-5hr drive.

Ryan 18 deg of timing, Thing that sticks out at me is the injectors were at 80% but i'm only making 474????? They are 60lb mototrons and my a/f was 11.8 WOT?????? Shouldn't they be barely working to support 474rwhp?

Flynbludream, I'd put my money on my car too. I'm sure its making more than what the print outs read yesterday. This set up smokes my procharger set up on the street.

I was thinking, I have 3.73s in the rear, maybe those were causing the car not to load on the dyno. I'll be switching back to 3.23s in march.

Don't worry about it. My car did the exact same thing. I was running the 1mph more in the 1/4 than a guy in our club....he had a procharger, I of course had a turbo. On the same night, on the same dyno, he made about 100rwhp more than me and about 50rwtq...my car is heavier and i have a 12 bolt/steel DS versus his stock rear and DS. My car took forever to build boost despite me spinning the hell out of my boost controller ****. After my depressing dyno, i get out on the street and the car runs like a raped ape.
So i agree with everyone... F the dyno, tune on the street and use track numbers/weight to figure out your power.

Well said, Jarrod. Glad i'm the not the only one to have the experience on the dyno.

The street and strip is what's always worked for me, i'll stick to it and get some good times come March....damn thats still like two months away

Congrats on getting to the dyno.

But something is definitely wrong.

-Not that I am a dyno expert but you locked up your 4L60E at 40mph you said?
-Is the trans slipping?

PSJ, I locked the car into 3rd gear at 40mph with my HPT that way the dyno guy didn't have to worry about he car downshifting into 2nd.

I locked the converter twice with my HPT but it didn't make a difference at low boost so I just left it unlocked for the rest of the runs.

OK here are some snap shots of my last dyno run HPT log...
He didn't start the dynorun until 63 MPH, even though I had it locked in 3rd at 40mph.
He went from 16%, 36% to 100% WOT.

16% throttle

36% throttle

WOT

63-108mph, 3144 to 6220rpm, and full boost didn't hit until 6018

IATs went from 68 to 73 degrees

Don't know if this means Jack **** but my car is at full boost by 4000rpm on the street?

Any input on this will help whether any of this means anything or not. Just trying to figure out what went wrong

sorry for actually taking pictures of my laptop screen my desktops are Macs and my laptop is windoz so they don't like to talk to each other

I am not an expert by any means. But if you asked me. The answer has been hinted at before in this thread.

The dyno did not load your car enough. The load that the car sees while on the streets allows it to hit full boost at 4000rpm's. But with the dynojet, the turbo was not loaded enough, making full boost come in waaay latye and making your numbers look like crap.

Oregon trail....talking about that old PC video game??

No video yet, i'll try and grab some this week

Fandango, yeah I know its been hinted at here again and again. I'm just really put off with this dyno. You see everyone put down 600+ pretty easy here on the board and when you bring back 474@18psi you want to rule out the car. I know my car is running great but those dyno's put a hint of doubt into my head.

Just lookin for some tech help.
