Default supercharger maf problems

i have 383 procharger setup. i am currently running a stock maf and it is maxxing out and not allowing me to add any more fuel. what would be the best way to solve this problem?? i have heard that you can trick the maf into letting you add more fuel, but i was wondering if there was just a larger maf i could buy that would work?

Couldn't you just buy an 85mm one? I think SLP makes one and Granetelli

Maxing the MAF is pretty common. You should be able to add fuel in the PE table. We probly have 20 Cars running like this.Ussually 8lbs maxes it out.

Yep, just add fuel to the PE table.

Can't you buy a recalibrated MAF for situations like this? Obviously you have to rescale, but at least you keep getting a variable MAF signal with greater air volumes.

sorry for the dumb ? but how does adding more fuel help if the maf is maxed? I know that it should make it richer for more power, but won't you still need more air?

You basically tune around the MAF.

I suppose this means that you can have it tuned OK at the engine's actual max airflow, but when you are below that, yet still above the MAF's highest signal then you are running rich.

What I did is I bought the 2 and 3 bar upgrades from HP tuners. I have yet to use it on my car. But it works sweet on a NA SD tuned car we did in 1 bar.

Illiminate the MAF all together and run in speed density mode. I run my vette this way and it runs great!
