FI head decisions
I went for a pair of CNC'd Edelbrock heads. Just need to get my finger out and build the damn thing.
Exhaust flow seems to be very good in relation to Inlet, which is one of the reasons I chose them, and I'm still on a stock bore size, as opposed to a larger bore. Some people advised the AFR225's wouldnt perform as well on a small bore engine. Add to that, I didnt think the exhaust port flow on a 225 where that much greater than a 205, in comparison to the inlet flow differences.
Who knows how me Edelbrocks will work in reality though. Well enough I think
And if they dont, they look nice anyway.
The only mention of deck thickness on the Dart heads, is where they said the deck is as thick as it needs to be.
I would say though, that a decent set of heads would be more important to a CF blower car, than in a turbo car.
A turbocharged motor will have the ability to make power regardless of what heads are fitted, due to the simple ability to increase boost pressure.
Obviously good heads will help, but a CF blown car should realise more benefit compared to a stock head.

Some light reading for those who don't use the search feature...

BTW, the Dart heads only have a .500" deck.

That may be low numbers to everyone else but sounds ok to me comparing to other cars!
Good luck with the car...700hp is nothing to sneeze at!
What kind of power u make man? Im curious what the difference is between ours with ur more cubes and AFRs and ls2 intake. That intake is supposed to be 30rwhp over an ls6 and an lsx on a blower app! I know Im straying from the subject a little but just curious.

It's all part of the mix, but generally going to a higher flowing intake makes sense if the heads also flow really well. I'm going from a LS6 intake/tb setup to an Edelbrock single plane and a NW 90mm tb.
