The hot side of the turbo kit, which works better header wrap or cermanic coating?

IMO coat the inside and wrap the outside, but only if it's stainless.

if you arnt planning on welding on it again, have it coated. then if you want it wrapped later do that too.

Wrap will keep moisture in as well, so be aware of your materials and what not.

Wrap keeps heat in,
coating keeps heat out,
hence my answer.

Anything but stainless will rot away quickly with wrap.

So if you coated the inside, but on the outside had to choose between coating and wrapping (and assuming it was stainless so it wouldn't rust out) then which one on the outside makes for a better thermal barrier?

My money is on the wrap by far for the outside.

I'd guess the same when talking about Jet-Hot type coating. But there are TRUE ceramic coatings out there. Those might work better. And look tons better. Oh, and cost tons more.
