Chris's WS6

I have contacted frcefed98 here is what he said:

Restrictor (0.100") - but recommended going a little smaller somewhere between 0.065" and 0.100".
Correct PVC setup
Raised turbo slightly (bottom of turbo centre section approx. 0.5 inches above main rank bolt), and optimized oil return routing.

BTW, where did you put you oil back into the engine (front / side and how far below where the pan meets the block)?

I used the stock oil level sensor location. Any ideas on my boost issue.

Default Boost Issue

Assuming the turbo is OK (no smashed turbines) the first things to check are the following:

1) Exhaust leak between head and turbo
a) Faulty EGR
b) Fluttering Wastegate (I was only making 5lbs. then I totally unplugged wastegate vacuum line at it jumped to 10 quick!)
c) Check all connections

2) Intake leak between turbo and head
a) Check all connections
b) Make sure your BOV is not bleeding off boost

Note: Check if you are getting oil in the intake (could be caused by restricted drain, or really plugged air filter). Some people have had a huge buildup of oil (or meth) stuck in the intercooler/pipes that obstructed flow.

But i would check items 1&2 first. The best way to check for leaks is to use a small air line, put one side in your ear, the other to the connections and leaks will be obvious (loud hissing/pulsing).

Firstly, the internet can get you in trouble!!!!! The factory garrett dual ball bearing turbos come with a much smaller restrictor "built in" than a .100 or .065. I believe they have right around .035 sizing currently. On a higher oil pressure engine(70+ psi) you may need to step down to a .025 as garrett only rates the cartridge to 60psi oil pressure, to the best of my current knowledge. I don't think this is the issue as it would have done it from the start. As TwinTurboCE said, check the oil one-way check valve and make sure it is not stuck open with any sort of debris. Parker Hydraulic is a great company BUT the check valves have been known to stick. If it is stuck it allows the oil to syphon thru the system to the lowest point, which is the passenger turbo.
Also, check what's been posted about the weldon 9200 oil pump and the fact it has no one-way valve in it. If you park on an angle front down, the oil can drain from the pan back thru the pump and again fill the lowest point. If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

Thumbs up Ah!

the kill every mosquito within a 100 mile radius oil problem with the Twin Turbo.
I have had the same problem and the last time the problem was the resistor switch! They replaced the switch and the problem went away. If you want contact Mike Norris at Next Level Performance and ask about Alfreds Red 2000 Twin Turbo SS and he can probably give you the part number.

hope this helps
