Almost ready to go again
Anyhow, finally got to Detroit at 3pm, loaded up the motor/heads BS'd with Kurt a while and headed home. Nice shop they have there and some pretty awesome projects going on. Really professional setup those guys have going, got to see roofer daves car in person and it really is a work of art.
Left there at 5pm amd got home around 1:30am. Woke up at 9am and figured I'd assemble it and at least get it in the car today. Missing a couple parts so I couldnt finish it. But I should be making some passes next week. Going to run as-cast Dart heads and se what happens. Only real goal is to get in the 5s in the 1/8 with the D1, we'll see how it goes soon enough. Curious to see how the as-cast Dart heads work compared to CNC'd stock heads.
Motor is a 347 with J&E pistons, 9.5:1 w/62cc chambers, horwards rods, stock crank and a shiny new block. Anyways, a few pics as it goes together. Kinda got stuck on head studs so it will be a few days before I get the new ones, this is a later model block so it needs the all short studs, kinda stuck w/o those lol. Just bored and have nothing else to post up
I noticed BG changed their T&T to friday night, going to be rough for me to make it there this year
First I'll try it exactly how I ran it last year just to see if the heads did anything, heck it may even slow down a tenth ot two lol..

Tony (Nine Ball) took all those pics - did a great job. Besides I love the stock idle, it surprises a lot of people at the track when see what it runs..

I'm sure it would pick up with more cam but its just a fun bracket racer/cruiser, not looking to be the fastest around or dont need a 230+ @.050 duration cam to pick up chicks anymore..
