P1SC Boost VS D1SC boost

P1SC Boost VS D1SC boost
This may seem like a rather dumb question but say you have the exact same setup and you run 10lbs of Boost with a P1Sc and you run 10lbs of Boost with a D1SC are they going to make the same HP and TQ?????
I know the D1SC has more internal RPM capability with means it can run more boost on a given setup. But is there any advantages to it over a p1SC or even a P600b at the same boost levels???
I have a D1SC and I am just wondering. I have heard some say the D1SC will give better TQ numbers compared to the p1sc at a given boost level, I dunno?????

Both superchargers should not be run over 62,000 rpm and they share the same 4.10 internal gears. The D1SC will be running slower than the P1SC for the same airflow so there will be a slight thermal advantage to the D1SC, but nothing drastic. The design of the impeller changes the boost curve a bit as well. The main advantage is the stonger midrange and top end aiflow of the D1SC over the P1SC. The P600B has a 3.05 internal gear which makes it challenging to drive fast enough to use all of its airflow.

When the tires immediately go up in smoke, it makes it really hard to tell the difference. lol I've never been able to tell a difference in the lower boost levels between the two, and I always recommend going with the D-1SC over the P-1SC unless you need the 50 state certification in California. For those who don't know, the P-1SC and the D-1SC both share the same housing. Bob

What kind of difference in numbers are between the two? I know that might be a hard question to answer. But if you put the blowers on the same car, and tried to get as much out of them as possible..etc. While the car is stock, would there be a large difference?
Also is there a difference in the horspower or torque curves between the two?
Just curious..

The D1SC on an LS1 should be good for 4-5 psi or 100-150 hp better than the P1SC assuming the engine can handle it. Driven at the same speeds the D1SC will move more air, so if you didn't change the pulley the boost will come in sooner with the D1SC.

Here is a link to the ATI specs. page if it will shed any light @ all.
