Default Electric Supercharger?

Haha I don't plan on buying one, but I'm just curious. I ran across an electric supercharger on EBay and the advertisement seemed somewhat convincing. It was only 150 bucks and it claimed to add something like 50 HP. Has anybody even bothered to install one? Does it actually work? Haha I know this is a stupid thread, but it's an electric supercharger is an interesting thought lol...

I heard 50hp was on the low end. Imagine if you had a 700+ cubic inch small block....lol

Yea I laughed when I saw the thing. I didn't even know they made them! I was just wondering if they even WORK or not. It doesn't sound like there is much complexity for only $150...

Excuse the people beating you up about your post and question. No it's a scam. They might "blow" X amount of air CFM, but that's not how forced induction works. It's a waste of money. They don't compress air, which is what a supercharger/turbo does. Think of it this way, it's nothing but a fan-it moves a volume of air from one space to another. A true air compressor takes air and "packs" into another space. Meaning the space can now be occupied by more air molecules or something. I don't know. Either way It's a scam. Just like the resistor mod. And the air guitar.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/208864-turbo-faq.html post#4Why did my electric superchargers, tornado air intakes, whistle tips, fake BOVS, fake turbo noise or any other fake worthless crap post get locked

This is a tech board about real FI setups, any worthless post like that that will not make power will get locked. I want to keep this section clean and not have members have to sift through worthless crap to find something good. You want to post about that stuff go to the honda boards.
Over here we want to focus about making power.

Not trying to be an *** but this is what smokinHawk(fat downpipe director) put in his Turbo FAQ sticky
