Kurt, do your 6.0L shortblocks, and 402 LS2 shortblocks/longblocks come with the girdle or is it an extra option?

one thing ill mention is how well steve and mikes engine has held together at 1500ish HP, another car that was making equal power it so happened to use DmPerformace girdle could only make about 2-3 passes before the motor went (least that what the rumors were).

Last time we had the Formula motor freshend the bearings were in great shape. This was after a season of beating on it. So I would say the girdle works. Now, the motor in my CE has stock caps, stock crank and no girdle. We'll see what the bearings look like in it about this time next month when a forged crank goes in. Time to make more power and don't want to drive over my crank.

I got one of the DM Performances lsx engine girdle, its a patented design, that bolts inside the oil pan with no modifications, it's made out off cold rolled
stainless steel, and think its an awsome product!!!!

I got one of the DMperformance girdles and it was a direct bolt-in. There was no machining done to my block and I didn't have to drop my motor. It was simple to install, the only thing you have to do is to make sure you put the dipstick tube in the whole where it is meant to go in the girdle while your putting it on.

Well if you haven't had main problems they you are lucky cause the girdle will change the way it loads the mains and usually will cause a bearing failure of some kind. SHould be installed TQed line honed and then when assyembling should tq in the same order and tq as you did before you line honed it. Atleast that is my opinion.
