Yeah I should stuck to the Procharger and my goal of tens. I was right there 11.10s with the procharger. At least I had that combo sorted out. It was all in the hook up for me to hit 10's with the procharger. When I "upgraded" from my lil powerdyne to the procharger I made foward progress, from 12's to 11's and when I "upgraded" to the turbo...I started back at square one

I had to go turbo J/K'ing

I knew this transition wouldn't be so smooth, I knew the tranny was on borrowed time as well, but its all good at least my drivetrain is now being beefed up because of this.

As for the price of the tranny, it set me back 1950..shipped. I was charged in full at the time of order, so I hope its being put together now.

Push it off a cliff, been there plenty of times, but ehh what can you do, its not like the car did this to itself...if I would have left it stock it would have been fine

Just another step to upgrading the car to suit my needs to go "fast"

sscam68, sorry about your luck at the track too, wasn't such a good day for us out there. Is your car home yet?

Yeah, car is finally home. Dropped it off at about 7p.m.

I guess I'll start tearing into it on Wednesday. I have an exam Tue. so I have no time for it until then. Its all good though, I just thought I would get a few more passes out of those gears. I'm just glad the diff. didn't puke all over the track. Packed house, 3rd pair up and a greased track. Now THAT would have sucked .

12 bolt and bogarts in may .

BTW, I LOVED the stance of your car with the 28's out back. Looked mean as ****.

Thanks man, she does look nice and mean with those bastards back there!!! Glad the dude at firestone hooked me up with a new valve stem and had it swapped out in 10 minutes...that was pretty cool of him.

If you need a hand with the car let me know. I've got a few 10bolt rebuilds under my belt.

Its early in the year so will have plenty of time, we had some great weather this weekend and it killed me not to go make a couple passes. Running out of fuel again lol, happens every time I change something

Got some nice gas out there tho, VP MS-109 octane...7 bucks a gallon....pretty expensive fill up

HO well, Glad I ordered up that Rock ON! transmission last week....saw this coming a mile away.

Guess the dyno didn't lie....but the trapspeeds hint at more like 300rwhp

KP yep just a matter of time before it bit the dust. It was real nice here, usually opening day is cool and windy here but yesterday was perfect.

man, sorry to hear about that man.

I know once you get that setup working right, you'll be trapping 130+

Im sure the track isnt helping you anyways with elevation and such.

Still thinking about movin out here?

It never fails man. Just when you think you have everything built bullet proof, the only thing left to go out WILL. I finally got my car tuned for methanol with a Denny's DS and a 9 inch. Thought I was golden, went to the track and the damn hood came unlatched at the top of 4th gear

All in good time

YIKES bet that was a scary time The last thing on the list and its no priority rush, is also a rear. I've still got the stock 10bolt. But those are cheap and easy to repair and the auto takes it easy on it as well. The 10 bolt lasts me about 2 seasons before something breaks.

2000 Tran Zam, I don't know if something is majorly wrong with my car or tune but I was expecting more trapspeed reguardless of what happened. Its not smoking, coolant level is fine and clear. No misses and the a/f was spot on...but yet there was no power. Rick@synergy said it looks like I have a boost leak when he checked out my last log that I sent him....so I have to track that down...if there is one.

It never ends

So what could the boost leaks be from?

Faulty wastegate(s)? Exhaust leaks?

If you are still thinking that something is wierd as to your not trapping what you think you should, and the dyno doesnt make as much power as you know it should, once you get those other smaller issues taken care of id try running someone on the street/freeway (obviously in a safe environment) and just see how you stack against them.

This way, if you know they trap 125 and your hanging, theres just some bugs you need to work through.

Checked for exhaust leaks, all is fine there. I'm thinking it can be on the cold side. Maybe my Tial BOV is cracking open under boost? Or the funny retard clamp on the outlet of this GT42 isn't sealing well. I'll take off all my t bolts and check all my connections.

I have a 11psi spring for the BOV, I wonder if I should stick that in and see if my power increases.

As for street runs, that was fun when I was a punk kid, but then the punk law caught up with my punk *** and nearly took my car....so now that track season is here, i'll stick to chopping away at it each weekend until the car is running what I want it to run

And I thought I was getting away with boost issues by taking the "belt and pulley" out the equation

Thanks all I keep posting what I find.

good luck man. hope you get all of yours figured out that way if i have questions you can answer them. if everything is tight and no leaks, what would it hurt changing that spring. i had the same thing happen on my last setup. would buuild to like 9psi then fall on its face, i was told it was in the tune but the af was dropping down below 10 fixed that and it helped
