Actually, he did. Don't see any mention of anything from us, and we only build the fastest LS engines in the country

We also have some forged 347 motors (all forged, no stock crank), already built, for a very reasonable cost. We do not use forged parts from outside the USA. These have all quality components. It is so cliche, but "you get what you pay for"

I don't believe we have pricing set on the 347's yet, but they are built. Most of our wares can be viewed here:

A W2W forged 347 is about $4600, according to Billy Briggs @ W2W :

" A machined, balanced and assembled short block is about 4600.00. It will have a stock crank, HRC rods, mahle pistons and a ported oil pump. This is only a short block price and don’t include shipping. We do require a 50% deposit and it will take 2-3 weeks. Thanks, Billy Briggs"

This is not the engine I am speaking about. These have forged cranks also. Different engine altogether.

I dont mean to bash or be out of line or anything, but that seems a tad high of a price. My custom 383 longblock from HPE cost about the same as that shortblock, and it had callies rods and custom wiseco pistons. It came with pushrods and a LS6 pump etc.Did i miss something?I know W2W knows their stuff when it comes to motors but i dunno.....

Full race -$5000 -$7000 depending on level.

...so we can add at least $600 for a forged crank to that price.

Just wanted to throw out the quote I was given.

BTW, I'm not saying it's not worth spending the extra money to go W2W. You guys clearly are head and shoulders above, quality-wise and reputation-wise.

That's why I came to you guys for a quote.

...and you still came in waaaay under another vendor, (might as well mention names) Katech, who wanted ~10k for this same build.

Understand completely guys. Remember I have been in your shoes and shopped for what I considered to be the best value. W2W has been here 10 years and has very strong roots. We will stand behind our work. You will not get a motor from us until it has been put on our engine dyno and broken in and tested for power (long block). We can certainly also break in a short block if it calls for that

I am still working on Billy for the pricing info.

So is it not a good idea to add forged parts (Rods/pistons) to my stock shortblock (70Kmiles)
