If the shaft isnt bent...then the copmressors should be fine...and judging from the pics...the exhaust turbine doesnt look to beat up. If you can get the turbo to AP or Levi, I can take it up to my turbo guy and have him check it out. I will call him in the AM to see what he can do on a new exhaust housing.

So did you find the limits of the stock pistons, or did you have a fueling issue?

at least it made some good numbers for stock bottom....i would go along with the other guys as well and get it rebuilt....i had my sc rebuilt after sucking water through it cause i didnt want to take the risk of breaking the new motor it was going on ....im no expert on cars but i work on pumps and all sorts of stuff on my sub and we wouldnt keep that after how the impeller looks....thats just my .02 though

The turbine he has pics of are on the exhaust side...there is no way possible that any foriegn material could have entered the compressor side. Ive seen the impellers totally broke off the wheel and not harm the shaft. If the shaft is true...than the compressor housing and the internals on the compressor side should be fine.

You've waited this long. Let the F-er sit a couple of months if you have to. Get what you want and get it done right. I would not put anything that was unsure on a brand new motor. I plan on parking mine for a couple of months to go through it if you care to join me

Kaos send us the turbo, we will take care of it. We might be able to service your current wheel which will not cost near as much. Balancing should not be a problem as well.

Daniel, they'll be able to tell more once they get it sight.

Besides, it's in excellent hands with them. You've picked great people for your turbo setup, W2W and Jose.

That's what I'd say. I would def. NOT reuse that turbo without at least getting it cleaned and balanced.

Stock compression + 10 or more lbs of boost and 18 degrees on pump gas might be the culprit...were you on pump gas at the track too?
