T6 is the bigger exhaust housing. Most LS1 street kits use T4 stuff due to space constraints. The downside for a high perf setup is that a single turbo T4 setup will have more backpressure than a T6 (backpressure at the turbo).

Just wonderin why more cubes would be a whole lot better when there are 240 ci supras putting down over 1000 rwhp do they rev to the moon or what? I don't think they rev much higher than 7500 do they? Don't the 346 ls1 move more air than a little 240 ci rice motor? Especially with heads and cam????

Toyota Supra 2JZ motor is 181 CID. A GT47-88 turbo on a 2JZ will have full boost by 5500 RPM. Why are you guys so concerned about spooling a little 88mm turbo with a 346.
I just wonder what you guys would say if you knew what was on my little 346 CID motor. But i don't want to get into a pissing match with everyone like last time. No one wants to listen to what i have to say. So i'm done telling you guys about it. You guys will see sooner or later.

actually the PTE88 is best suited for 300-360 cubed motors for high HP, least the one with the T4 flanged. you just need to take the revs out a bit more, youll probably make more peak with a 300-360 then with a 400+ cube motor
also i dont think youll get compressor surge with 300-360 cubes

Not to jack the thread, but I was having similar questions about this setup. Since I have to forge my motor anyway, would it be more advantageous to go with the Lunati 383 setup to spool the T-88, or with just a forged 346 motor? I have found very little on this except a few comments saying the larger the bore, the turbo works less efficiently. If he went with a 383 would he gain more over going with a different motor since he neds to forge the bottom end anyway??

I think i might go ahead and go with a bigger motor and a PTE-88 Is that pretty much the way to go as far as the turbo goes? is any other turbo much better?

T4 or T6? How much room do you have? Did you see pics of my GT 47-88? This turbo is a T6, weighs 68 lbs, and is capable of 1250-1400 hp.

I was going to go T6. I pretty much have all the room I need. No accesories, tubular front, EWP. Is garret the same as precision?is there anything bad about the garret? I can get them for 50% off. Would it be wise to go with a GT 47-88? Where can I look at them for specs etc? web site? what manifolds are you running? Custom? thanks

Just thought i give you guys a little update of some real wolrd testing i finally got to.
car hits my full boost (11-12 psi) some where around 4000-4500, once the car gets in the 6k range the tach cant keep up and i tend to hit the rev limiter trying to rev it out close to 7k, this is telling me that between 6k-7k is making alot of power, as i can feel the car scoot.
i really think i need to rev it out more, and once i get my fuelling better i might take it to 7200 (already running 130 duty cyle on my injectors, but i think i can improve that by tweaking the fuel pressure) its just hard taking it down the track, exspecialy with the 3.73 gears and a 26" tire, im going through the gears way to fast.
the car definatly feels more powerful, more voilent then my old T76 tti kit (same engine), even off boost.
i think back pressure might have restriced the engine at lower off boost levels or something, the transistion to boost now doesnt feel so noticable, like it just doesnt reach the boost thresh-hold level then goes, now it just revs out from low rpm then once it hits 5k i have about a second or less to shift before hitting the limiter at 7k
the power band is more peaker then my old 76mm turbo
