the good ones, are ball and spring
NOT A BLEED ... but not always true, the turbo XS works great
Its a bleed valve, but vents to atmosphere, and if you use the line from the intake, its a constant vacume leak

not sure about yours... my bleed one sucked (turbo smart)
My electronic innovative was awesome

Why would anyone want to get out of the car to turn the ****? I reserve my excercise efforts for going to the fridge to get another beer. Electronic boost controllers rule.

Nothing wrong with manuals for us low-budget folk...and having it under the hood keeps you from turning it up when you wanna crush that new z06 next to you by 20 car-lengths instead of just 10.

I use one for each turbo
have them mounted under the dash
this allows me to adjust each seperately
there is also a on/off valve on the boost source line
once you have the boost where you want it, shut off the valve and back to low boost
I suspect a nitrous solenoid could also be used to activate it remotely

I agree with not using the bleed method
I have had better results introducing boost to the top of the wastegate

all i want is max boost and power on 93 octane. why? because im on the street 99.999% of the time and im not going to running race gas 99.999% of the time. i wont mind getting out of the car every once in a while to crank it up when i decide to run race gas.

i picked up a cheap ball/spring manual boost controller to use on my rear turbo car.I see people recommend connecting one end to the intake manifold. Is this also recommended for a rear mount set up???Seems like a long run of vacuum hose!!LOL.NEED ADVICE.thx,mike.

I used 1/4 steel brake line and rubber hose at the joints
seems less likely to collapse
I referenced the boost signal from the intake
turbonetics showed schematics for bleeding boost to the wastegate or
introducing boost to the top of the wastegate diaphram
I used the latter without any problems so far

people just don't like manuals because some people don't know how to run lines to install them to the dash so they keep it under the hood haha, and i think the main reason is in fear of boost creep.

imo i'd use one, cause not everyone is a baller and can get a electronic.

brake line for a boost controller line

i don't see the need but to all their own, rubber lines are fine

GMR tried a manual BC for the twins but it wasn't keeping the boost consistent so they yanked it and put in a blitz DSBC digital BC. No complaints.

dual port gate with light spring + $10 air pressure regulator = dead nuts solid boost.

I just think some people over complicate it, or just like widgets with blinking lights
