I guess it depends on what housings are being used by Garrett. Precision has done a few GT2871 and GT3076 turbos for us and it has been hard to get a correlation to the Garrett nomenclature since we can choose between many compressor and turbine housings to fit a given cartridge. The garrett nomenclature is established off of the Compressor and turbine wheel specs. I believe APS is using one of the GT3076 series cartridges, maybe the -0012 and we won't know about the housings until we get our first shipment of C6 kits to go thru and disect in mid may. It looks like a T28 turbine flange though.

Damn, and I was all set to go ahead with the GT30's a few weeks ago. Let us know.

I am 99.9% positive that APS is not going to release their turbos alone for purchase. The -0012 is a 55 #/min turbo but I don't believe it would fit in the Incon housings as the turbine wheel is a little larger, both inducer and exducer, than the -0011(50 #/min) that Incon used. For those that have Incon GTBB35's and want to upgrade to a -0011 cartridge, just talk to limit engineering or Precision Turbo about remachining your current housings and just replace the cartridge. Diesel Injection Service usually has some 700177-0011 cartridges in stock when I call Jim in their Atlanta office. I have also talked to Joe at Precision Turbo about machining a T28 turbine housing and T04B compressor cover around the -0012 cartridge and he said they could do it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all of the info MadBoost.

Garrett GT2871R = Incon GTBB35 = 44lbs/min each = 880hp

Garrett GT3076R = Incon GTBB37 = 50lbs/min each = 1000hp
(and is a bored out GT2871R with a larger turbine wheel)
(-0011 chra)

The best turbo (If anyone could make it) would be a GT3076R with a GT3071R turbine wheel and T2 housing and internal gate (-0012 chra). This would bolt onto an Incon manifold, flow 55lbs/min....but I don't know if the 76mm comp housing would clear the frame/block.

What do you think MadBoost? Would it fit? Can it be made? TIA.

What's the flow of a T04B Compressor with the -0012? 55lbs/min?

Now I am going to confuse myself with all the Garrett name crap. Incon's GTBB37 was a 76mm compressor exducer with what is now called a "GT30" turbine. This made it a GT3076 according to the naming system currently in place, even with the T04B cover and T28 turbine housing. Let's negate what covers are being used on turbobygarrett.com and just concentrate on the cartridge which is where the naming system is based. The cartridge in Garrett's complete GT3076r assembly is a 700177-0007 which looks to be the same compressor inducer/exducer, turbine exducer, and trim as the 700177-0012 (note: they don't list the turbine inducer to be certain). When I talked to Joe at Precision Turbo, he felt that they could get a -0012 into a T04B, Incon size, compressor cover and T28 turbine housing. Not sure on the flow though.

Lots of good Incon data MadBoost, I appreciate it.

TO4B is the Comp cover for the GtBB35 and GTBB37 original Incons?

May have to try a -0012 chra....should flow 55lbs/min and be a killer Incon set-up.

55lbs/min = ???? horsepower potential.

1,100 hp I'm assuming, given a linear result in comparison to the other figures thrown out.

****, if I can get that kind of power out of this kit, there's no use in going with a top mount setup! Hot diggity damn! (yes, I did just say that...lol)

so $1,604.00 to upgrade to bigger cartridges. What else is required before we can get the 1,100 hp figure outta the turbos, minus fuel, etc. Just turbos.

55 should get 1100hp maxed out. Need a great intercooler, forged short and a killer tune.....plus some machining $$ to get the -0012 to fit the turbos from Precision.

I was more concerned with the machining part... Wonder how much it would cost to get the 2 28's machined for the new cartridges.

You might want to contact Jose or Jason on this as well. We have had several incon turbos come through here. They have done upgrades in the past with complete CHRA's.

If someone wants to donate a short block, I'll max out my 37's to get a baseline for comparison.

And for the Incon guys living precariously through the ones who have there’s running, Two days ago I dusted a brand new TT porche, I let him get a car length or two, so I got a good look at his TT badges (as I flipped opened my elec. cutouts.) Then I dropped the hammer and just drove right on by, even spun a little rubber at the top of third gear as I went by to add insult to injury. And I’m just shy of 600rw. I can’t imagine what it will be like for you guys when you’re pushing 900rw, but I can’t wait to here the stories.

Elec. cutouts...???....amateur. I run my open all the time. Wins races w/o even having run them.
