Question procharged car question.

Just wondering how many people have prochargers running in the 10's. I am beginning to wonder if this will be possible with my D-1. It seems that all the fast cars run nitrous? Im trying to keep it as street worthy as possible without it being a drag car only cause I enjoy driving it, so does my wife for that matter.
So hopfully some of you guys can give me some hope. The power numbers seem to be there with alot of people but not the times (I dont want to be a dyno queen).
Thanks

Those 3:90 gears arent helping you unless you are runnig a very tall tire at the track that is for sure I wouldn't go any lower than 3:73's IMO, but everyone is going to have theres etc...And another thing you haven't posted any of your times so I don't even know how far you are off of your goal another thing what elevation etc... are you running at what were the conditions? I see heads, but a Zo6(2or later) cam would help if you were looking at keeping the stock sound and performance would be improved while not costing an arm and a leg. Although I don't really see why you don't have your 10 sec time slip already.

I run 11.1 at 128.7 on crappy 1.87 60fts in my 3800+ lb GTO. Thats with my D1SC setup. Only thing holding me back is learning to launch the car with the IRS. Once I get my 60s down I expect the car to turn 10.8s consistant.

Sorry guys I dont have times yet, I got the motor in the car three weeks ago and Im taking it in to get tuned in the morning. I know on paper I should be close to the 10's I was just wondering how many were there. I keep hearing that supercharged cars dont run as fast as nitrous. Im hoping to prove some people I know wrong. I just like the idea af having the power on tap.
The 3.90 gearing was not my idea, I purchased the rear off of someone with a diffrent setup and have yet to change them. I do plan to though.
I plan on running as much boost as I can on pump gas, I figure 10-12#s here in cali with 91 octane any more and I think I may have to go to a FMIC which is something else I would like to do in the future.
Yes I do have a ls6 intake.

I don't see SFC's in your signature, if you don't yet have them, I would get them before you run the car again. Not only do they help to prevent the body from twisting, which creates gaps in the fender to door panels, and creases in the rear quarters, but they will help to transfer weight to the rear for traction.
If you can cut a mid 1.5 60 ft or faster, your car will be in the 10's without any problems. Bob

I don't see in your sig. if your an A4 or M6. It's a lot easier for an auto. to get into the tens. There are plenty of D1SC's in the 10's. I think KP is all the way down to the 9.40's. I guess your going to have to give it a go to get a baseline first. You might do it first time out.

Why not just add a shot of juice with the charger, that will really get ya going.

car makes between 10 and 11psi. I also have a cam and methanol on the car. I have trapped 130mph many times... the head wind was killing me the day I ran 11.1 Car is making 603rwhp on the stock bottom end so I am happy with it until my 408 arrives!
