procharger ???
im trying to max out the d1 sc i have on the car now.
i currently have an 8 rib set up with stock tensioner and i am making 11ish lbs of boost. im going to switch to a riechard racing ultra grip pulley and probally one of their tensioner pulleys. the goal is max boost... isnt it always.
is it a good idea to try and max out the impeller speed, or is that even possible? or is it a better idea to set it up to reach the maximum boost that most people get as apposed to trying to max out the blower and just causing massive slippage?? i got more questions but ill wait for theese responses

We picked up two pounds of boost by removing the inlet hat and installing an aluminum 4" 90 degree elbow, some additional tubing, and a monster K&N air filter. Where we occasionally saw blower belt slippage at 14 psi on the stock ProCharger brackets, at 16 psi with the reduced inlet restriction we did not get an belt slippage.
Yesterday we were tuning in another T/A that we had built an iron block LQ9 engine for, and have a D-1SC on, we removed the stock inlet hat and filter assembly and picked up an extra 100 rwhp with no other changes. This was with a one inch larger crank blower pulley that we had made for us, which is turning the blower at 65,000 rpm. We are going to install a larger blower pulley today to reduce the blower rpm. If you are running a SC, money is not an issue. On the SDCE there is no down time. What you do is buy a J bracket from Tru Tech, send it to SDCE, have SDCE do thier magic on the bracket, and you put it on the same day you get the SDCE kit. FWIW thats what I did.
