That's the compression ratio Ross comes up with so your old timer was dead on! http://www.rosspistons.com/calculator.php

As far as the 402 goes, It may not the the most "optimal" set-up to max out a T-4 turbo, but it will still make some sick power on pump gas. I’m also willing to bet it does not have a much back pressure (which is obviously the concern running a larger CI motor with a T-4 turbo) than some of the less efficient single turbo kits running on 346’s.

I’d much rather have a PTS kit on my 402, than an old TTI or QMP kit on my 346. IMO it will be a good set-up and make nasty power on pump gas.

If you can fit it, then the S-series units will pack the most amount of power for the size.

Now that I'm not being pushed towards a particular setup, I'm going back stock-inch LS1. I am hoping for good numbers maxing this 76GTS out on race fuel.

where did you pick up your 76gts and if you dont mind how much did you pay for it? im in the same boat (sorta) as you. im looking for a great all around turbo that will make around 700rwhp or better on either race gas or pump and alky. i was planning on around 20psi or so for high boost. i was originally planning on a t67 or a t70 but a local supra guy ran the 76gts with GREAT success (10.0's@140) so i want to check into it...

*EDIT* but im also working on a strict budget as well.

I've run 143 with my 76GTS in my full weight LT1 camaro at 18 psi in the La heat. It's been proven over 150 mph and 990 rwhp.

That's good stuff Mike.... once my new setup is in and the kinks are out I hope for similar. 140MPH trap was my goal from the beginning.

I voted 370 cause you dont have 34x... but either would work fine. I think for the street a 370 would be great cause it would give you near instant spool.

It's still a little restrictive on the exhaust side for a 37x inch setup.... your upper RPMs would suffer. This poll was from when I was being pushed towards one stroker or another without the option of a stock-inch replacement.

Hell yeah I want 'em, I was gonna send you a PM last night (but I passed out instead ) about them...

Mine is so close to the street that I DARE NOT SPEAK OF PROJECTED TIMING Alas, I have been seriously downtrodden and scorned by the Mighty God of Turbo Delay. I see you have appeased him; I'm working on it.
