Default 7 tries at a 5 second 1/8 mile, didnt make it :(

Tried everything for seven passes tonight to get in the 5s in the 1/8, first pass off the trailer was a 6.08 @ 115, last two passes were 6.08 @ 115 lol. Granted the DA was 2000' or so and I was only seeing like 13.5psi max (track is 1600' elevation, crossville TN) but man what a pisser trying to get just .09 at the dragstrip can be sometimes Guess its time for the 3.4 pulley or wait for fall

Man, you're close! By now you probably already have the 3.4 pulley on and and have it tuned... lol
Keep trying. Bob

Na, I'm just waking up now, I would have tried the no hat/filter thing but there was a lot of gravel at the track and my luck one rock would get in there..

Makes a good bracket racer if anything

There is nothong 'boost specific' about this short block. JE pistons, regular rings, good rods. Last short block in the car was Wiseco stock replacement pistons and stock connecting rods and it help up just fine..

John, no there isnt, 200 miles is closest, BG is 240, Bristol is 120 miles but doesnt run till summer and its mufflers/DOT tires (AKA import mostly) only and they dont prep the track at all - not to mention it rus uphill and is 2000' elevation. Its pretty much 1/8 mile or nothing around here. Even if you run the 'real' bracket races at BG, Bristol and steele they run 1/8 mile. Test and tune is all they run 1/4 mile around here usually..

Jer, I was pretty sick last week and didnt feel like changing the pulley, I think it would be cooler to run it on the 3.7, gives me something to do

I never ran 1/8 mile in my life till I moved down here a few years ago and I have been drag racing for 25 years. Most of the 1/8 mile tracks around here used to be 1/4 mile tracks before the cars were going as fast as they are now. I'm well into high gear in the 1/8 anyhow so 1/4 mile is just looking out the window really with this car so it doesnt matter much. I never thought I would race on a 1/8 mile track but around here you have little choice, its not all that bad really

Some of the 1/8 mile tracks are as bad on the shutdown as steele, except at 115 its a little more manageable then 140+

I forgot about commerce, thats another 240 mile one way track...
