Any of you guys having trouble with the blue rubber connector going to the throttle body. Mine seems to blow off (8lbs of boost) when I am half down the track. I loose boost when this happens. I am making sure the hose clamp is tight, however, it doesn't seem to be doing the job.

You could try a t-bolt clamp. Also, make sure it is completely clean and free of oil before you put it on. I use carb cleaner on both parts before I assembling them. It removes any oil residue that might be on there.

You probably don't have a blow off valve?

I had the same problem, ended up taking my TB down to the welder and having him put a bead right around the end of it, and my intake pipe. I also use t-bolt clamps on both sides.

But if you have a BOV that is working right then you should not have much of a problem blowing pipes off.

Also, are you lifting off the throttle between shifts? Thats where your pressure spike is coming from that is pushing the pipe off your TB. I noticed you had a 6 speed.

First of all, thanks for all the answers, I really appreciate it.

Yes I do have a BOV. The rubber pipe seems to blow off with the peddle to the metal. You know, I may have some oil residue under there. I remember cleaning the engine. This problem happened after cleaning the engine.

Hey where do you get this T-bolt clamp at?

I get T-Bolt clamps locally, some truck shops (like big semi trucks) may carry them.

If not you can get them from many of the sponsors here or off ebay. Hell I probably have enough spares to sell you some if you really can't find them.

Another trick you can try is spraying your TB and turbo pipe with hair spray then assemble it and let it set up over night, that will stick it together quite well. When I took my car apart after sitting for a few months it was a bear to get it apart after hair spraying it.

This sounds strange but works. I would clean everything off and then spray hairspray on the T-body and the inside of the silicone connector. Then tighten everything down.

Thanks guys,
Found when I took off the silicone hose that I had a oil residue which was also on the lip of the throttle body. We are secure now.
