Default D1SC 402 without 1 7/8 headers?

This is what my setup will prety much be. SDPC 402 LS2 with about 9.2:1 compression with a D1SC, stock LQ4 heads milled .004, and 228/236 114 .613 cam. I am thinking around 12psi or so. GMPP intake with Aarons elbow, NW 90MM TB, and pacesetter headers. How badly will I be chocking this setup with the pacesetter headers? I know I would probably be better off with 1 7/8 primarys, but realy can't afford at the moment, and probably not for a while. What do you guys think?

You'll be fine you will gain some low and mid range tq and I dought you will be loosing much on the top at all. I have been runing a 1 3/4 header still with great results. Don't over think it. Looks like you have a good set up started you can alway change the little stuff later if you wish to try some thing different.

I went ahead and ordered 1 7/8" LTs for my car to replace my 1 3/4" LTs. But I also got a great deal on the 1 7/8" LTs so it made it worth my while to do so. I am doing a built 408/ Procharger F1C setup or my GTO.

You'll be making enough power with the smaller headers to have to work on putting the power to the ground. I wouldn't worry about it, at least for now. Bob

those headers will be fine...

Now, im more interested in seeing the kind of numbers you'll see with that blower. You think you can get it to 15psi?

Well, the smallest pulley that I have now is supposed to be for about 12psi or so, so I will see. First I want to get the setup running, brake the new motor in properly, dyno tuned, do more fuel modifications and then possibly try to sqeeze more power out of it with a smaller pulley.

Those headers will be fine for now Jimmy. As you stated above, get the thing running/broken in/tuned....then go from there. Spending that money right now isnt really a priority nor worth it IMO. Once everything is bolted up keep up posted!

Good luck
Andy

The fuel system consists of Mototron 60lbs, a Walbro 255 intank that is "hot wired" or whatever speedinc does to them to give them more voltage. Javier, the guy doing all the work will advice me what needs to be done to upgrade it when time comes.
