difficulty level of supercharger install?

Default difficulty level of supercharger install?

just what the thread says. I have been saving for a while and i am upgrading the clutch, driveshaft, suspension, and fuel system this summer...only leaving the rear end. So by this winter i hope to be able to get the D1sc procharger package. Ive seen that prices usually go around a grand to get installed then the tune also. Is this or any other kit really a "direct bolt-on", how much fabbing do you have to do, i havnt been able to find any install guides or walkthroughs online? Is this something that an average joe can install or should i bite it and take it somewhere. Thanks

Pretty easy install with the procharger. If you have some wrenching under your belt, the install should be pretty simple to do.

Procharger install is easy if you can turn a wrench. Just take your time, its fairly straightforward.

Took me 13 hours with a friend. Its a fairly easy install.

It is not too bad of an install on an LS1 F Body, just take your time. I have plenty of pic's in the project car section of my website of the installation process, which may help you out. ATI does a great job of packaging everything in the box in sub component form, and the bags are well marked. If you can assemble O'Sullivan furniture, you can do this install.
You can install everything, even the blower belt, but leave the stock fuel injectors in it until you drive the car to the shop to get it tuned. On the way to the shop to get it tuned, DO NOT GO WIDE OPEN THROTTLE, even for a split second!!!! If you fail to heed this advice, I can almost guarantee a broken ring land on the #7 piston. We have had customer's drive from three states away to get their cars tuned after they installed their own ProChargers, and we just have them swap over the injectors once they get to the shop, or we can do it for them as well. It took me about 10-12 hours of actual work over three days time! That was changing the spark plugs and hooking the gauges up too. Trust me if I can do it then you know it was fairly easy. The instructions are pretty good! I never ran into anything that stopped me really.

Sorry to Hijack. Just got one question. What program is best for tuning the Procharger. I am fixin to buy one was considering HP tuners. If you could let me know.

If you are new to tuning, I would not try to tune your newly forced induction car on your own. It is very easy to screw up a tune and make a pile of junk out of a good engine. Bob
