Default what did you do to get to 650 or more HP?

I'm shooting for around 650 RWHP with my STS, but I said I would stop at 500 too and that's not happening.
I want to know what you guys that have hit 650 HP or more what you did to get there and the steps you did it in. Also how is the streetability of your car? At what point did the car become unable to be a daily driver? I'm just looking for ideas on my approach to upgrading and maybe finding out when to say when before it's too late.

I have a stock engine with: 42# injectors, walbro 255 lph pump, STS T60 Turbo, compcams 918 springs and chromoly rods, and METH/H2O kit. It puts down 500 RWHP @ 8# on a dynojet.
Yes, I'm shooting for 650 RWHP streetable. I only put about 4000-5000 miles per year on it.

well good news... 500 rwhp is cheap... the next 150 extra rwhp will be expensive

youll need atleast new pistons and rods = atleast 1200$ plus labor which will be killer

then youll need more or a bigger fuel pump= around 400$
then injectors 60lbs = 420$
different cam depends what you use... could be around 400$
and then probably a bigger turbo - im not sure on that cause i've never bought one im a procharger boy
and then maybe a FMIC= 500 then the piping - 500 atleast

and you might want a different set of heads... just depends how much you wann spend

then with as much money and time that you have invested in the new setup you wont want to use meth more than likely get your compression down enough to use 93

be prepared for 3000$ +

Stock long block minus TR cam (227/224) and 918 springs... single intank, single inline with voltage blaster, Mototron 60# injectors, front mount turbo kit, 11psi and meth injection on pump 93.
How reliable....ehhhh well not very reliable at all i am sure.....I am counting my WOT blasts.

To get 650HP? Probably would have to disconnect the turbo kit and throw a big cam back in

500hp is plenty for the street. just slap on a 150NOS kit for those extra special moments. of course...will your reciporcating assembly handle all that power....

Easiest way to more power is upgrade the turbo..t67 or bigger t76..a bit more lag but more power.Would think you could get 600rwhp with heads and cam in current motor.Front mount would be good idea also.A nitrous kit on there would also work well.Nitrous and turbos work very well together.
And of course forged bottom end is a good thing.
I am currently building twin turbo 99. I have gmr twins on order.I will either throw it on my near stock ls1 this season and run like 5 to maybe 7 psi or may throw in my gt7 cam, fast 90 and NW90tb with likley some patriot lq9 heads.Figure that would hit 600rwhp.
But seriously thinking of going to a 6.0 iron block forged up 402 over this next winter and doing it up right so can go past 1000rwhp if wanted to.
Of course also getting big twin pump fuel system,65 pound or bigger injectors, tuning software etc.
And I realize that much over 400 rwhp is not that useable on the street even on nittos.

I was putting out 550 on the current motor, but decided to dial it back a bit because of the stock internals. I planned on upgrading the turbo along with bigger injectors, and forged bottom end. The rear mount is there to stay. I was really debating whether to get a custom grind cam with some AFR 225 heads with port & polish, and with some pistons that will lower the compression or going with a 402 iron block with low compression ratio and just port & polish the current heads.

with a built block and a fuel system a pt76 will get you well above 650rwhp.
