Default My thoughts about meth injection

I didn't think I would notice a thing with meth injection, just was going to run it for some added safty. I was wrong. Im still amazed of the results with it. You can actually feel the car start pulling harder and reving faster when it kicks in. Anyone else as amazed with the results as I am?

BTW-100% meth is being injected

Good to hear your happy. In a slow process of a installation as well.
What system are you running? And how much?
Are you running a mix or straight?

Is meth sprayed all the time or just when you run it hard?

How much (quantity) is in the meth tank under the hood?

Injection occurs either with boost activation (a set level using a pressure switch to activate your pump) If you have it set at 4psi it will come on full pressure at 4psi.

The other form is a progressive controlled system which there are around 4 or five companies that make one with different features and varing price but they all pretty much work the same. Pulse Width Modulation is use to controll the pump. ( Start point and full point set) It ramps the pump pressure up over the two set points.

Most people perfer progressive for a daily driver, at the track or on a dyno you won't notice much difference between the two since you will hit full boost within seconds.

Im running a cooling mist system. I will have to look to see which nozzel I put in it but I am running straight meth.

618hawk-I think you will be as impressed as I am with it.

qicken- It is only sprayed at a set point in boost

metallictrans96- Meth and N20 are opposite of each other. It does lower IAT plus it adds 120+ octane to your fuel. Search it...There is a big post on how meth and nitrous are different.

Good to hear it works so well. I am looking into getting a kit right now. Is there one that works better than other or is simple to setup?

thanks

I definetly do not have any complaints about cooling mist. It is straightforward about the setup. I was able to have it completetly setup in a little over an hour. Hardest thing to find is a place to mount the tank.

Got a meth question as I'm tinkering with the stuff now.

I'm running a 35% meth/water mix.

Now for the question(s)

When I spray from a roll say 50+mph, the car pulls hard and acceleration is nice and brutal.

But when I go from a dig and the meth activates(7psi preset) it'll pull hard up until I hit full boost(15psi) once it hits full boost the acceleration goes soft like its pulling but not very hard. A/F is 11.5 with no KR showing up on my HPT stuff.

Does this mean that my nozzle might be too big and is overwhelming the car from a dig?

From a roll its freakin mean

Just a few questions about meth in general here...
how often do you have to refill the meth for a street car. about how long will it last. How much does it cost to fill, whats the most user friendly kit for a street car f-body looking for just over 500 rwhp?

I think it might be...too new to this meth stuff so I really don't know.

I'll try again tomorrow, the traffic is outrageous right now

I had a small nozzle..err jet and a big one...I promptly lost the small one so the big one had to go in. I'll be ordering a few from coolingmist to see what works best.

If your giving the motor too big of a shot, wouldnt it be more sluggish down low where there isnt as much air to compinsate for the extra fuel?? I forgot to look at the size of my nozzel, but I remember when I sprayed it before it went in my car it looked like a HELL of a lot coming out of it!

All of these questions will get different answers. Just depends on how big of a tank you use and how hard you run your car.

For 500, all of the kits mentioned should be fine, the nozzel size is what you have to pay attention to.
