I heard hairspray works real good...almost too good (if you take your pipes on and off a lot). Do your pipes have a bead around the ends?

Hair spray will work wonders. When I took my cold pipes apart after letting them sit over the winter it was a BITCH.

If you have beads on both sides and tbolt clamps you won't be blowing things apart hairspray or not if your blow off valve works.

Use high-quality dual-density silicone couplers and weld a bead around the pipe and you won't have a problem, even with cheap hardware-store stainless hose clamps. I've been over 24 psi like that with no problems.

ya t-bolt clamps and silicone couplers are the only way to go

I welded beads on the offending pipe and so far so good

before the pipes were blowing off at 22psi
