What intake are you going to go with when you ditch the truck intake? If it is a LS6 intake, then dont bother!! The truck intake makes more power than a LS6 intake, its been proven by several car mags. If it is the FAST Intake go for it.

the intercooler turned out great. mike from sublime, a local shop welded them together.

before

after

the header pipes are 2.5" pipe trade and 1.5" pipe trade size. 1.5" is really around 1 5/8" inside.

How big are the pipes that you used for primary pipes and the logs?

so the log itself I believe is 2.5 and the primarys are 1.5.

parish is there any reason you used 1.5? why not bigger? are you using the 2.5 and the 1.5 primarys for velocity? can you post some pics of the log

thanks.

thanks guys.

the 1.5" "trade size" is really 1-5/8" inside diameter and it matches the port size on the heads. there are lots of pics >> http://www.neufamily.org/images/turb...lery/index.htm

96lb units, you can get 42's that will plug right in but to go bigger than that you need to make some mods. the big ones are prety easy to get in there. solder on some new conectors, shim up the fuel rails and tweak the crosover is it.

The setup looks great, and I guess log manifolds can make power. Curious though, while dispelling all the exhaust, why didnt you sweep the primaries forward to help creating venturi for exhaust flow? Do you feel like its insignificant? Not being a wise ***, just trying to understand.

this is my first attempt at fabing anything up like this and i am going with the easiest design i can. a simple log is as easy as it gets. sweeping the forward would hit the plug wires. if i were to attempt to make it any better than what i have now i would go for shortly style headers.
