Default what the f---

OK went to track last night and I sucked aaasssss off the line. What are you guys launching at and how do build boost up. My 1st gear hits 2lbs of boost looked like 2nd gear hit about 4-5lbs and 3rd & 4th hit 5.5lbs of boost. I was on BFG-Gforce.

How are you launching - off idle? Tell us exactly what you're doing when you come off the line and we'll give you an idea what it is or isn't being done correctly. BFG G-force tires aren't going to get you off the line quick. You were more than likely spinning. Post your time slip as well.

Why do you think that? Is the sts bad on a m6?

Launching at 2500rpm--3000rpm, tried dumping the clutch and flooring it(was pissed off last 2 runs) letting off the clutch slowly just does'nt feel like hitting boost that good on 1st&2nd.

That very well is the nature of the beast but didn't want to bring negativity to the thread.

What Mightymouse is pointing out is the issue that with the STS, even with smaller diameter piping, and the no-load condition of a M6 car, it's tough to get a combo. such as yours off the line. For the turbo to work, as you found out, you really need to load the car, or bring the boost up. With the clutch in, free-wheeling or no-load, it's tough to do that unless you accomplish this in other ways.

Try a set up sticky tires and/or slicks and see how that lowers your time. Right now your biggest concern is NO tire spin and getting a good hook off the line.

First, if you want to build boost off the line better, get a 2 step. Longrange4u on this board has a M6 STS with a 2 step and he cuts 1.5x 60 ft. Also, maybe try wrapping the exhaust all the way back to try and keep heat in.
Where is your boost reference running to?

not sure where the boost ref. is running to, looks like some vac.line near the pass. side. not to fam. w/turbos still learning. Also wrapping the exhaust, from the Y back or the whole exh. headers and all. How does the 2 step work what is the 2 step?

Good recommendation.

I didn't want to tell him that but it's 6 ways to one to figure out which way is putting the cart before the horse. Does he get the sticky tires and hook a little better or does he get the two-step and still spin off the line?

If you have enough cash TROD, get both and you should see much better times. What gears do you have? What size turbo?

With the intercooler, your boost reference should be to the intake. Make sure you plug the hole in the compressor housing if the reference is still there.
The wrap will keep heat in to help spool the turbo better. With headers and ory, it will help hold heat in much better if you wrap it.
Also, with the forged motor, you are all but using up the t-60. You can upgrade the wheel.
With the 2 step, NOSJohn is right. It will bring other issues up. It will spin like hell if you cant hook. If you do hook, it will kill your 10bolt in short order. You have to ask yourself, how important is a good track time? If its important, you need a good clutch, 9" or 12 bolt, suspension, and 2 step. Oh, dont forget more turbo.
Sorry to rain on your parade.
