Seems like an easy and clean way to mount one.

Well, the only welder I have access to is an arc welder and they dont make clean welds since Im getting polished aluminum pipe. I thought it would be cool too because you can use any BOV you want because if it has a different mounting flange, just change it out.

Well if you don't have a tig or a friend / shop with one that might not be a bad route to go.

Hell, for the cost of that piece, 2 more silicon sleeves and 4 crossbar clamps, you'll be 2/3rds of the way to your own new Lincoln welder and you can do it right!

My megasonic come with a nice piece to weld to the charge pipe that has a grove in it that the seal goes around, then 3 allen set screws to keep it in place. Very happy with the construction of this piece.

I would be willing to wager it costs quite a bit less less for the pipe and clamps/couplers then a TIG setup to weld aluminum

BINGO! Then I would have to learn to use it. To put one of these in the intake tract, its a grand total of about $60. If a Tig only costs $75, sign me up

$20 for the piece
$22 for the 2 silicone couplers (4 ply)
$16 for the 4 T-bolt clamps

I had around 2000.00 in my TIG before the torch ever hit metal, that was a few years ago too. MIG is a different story, if you do mild steel you can get a decent MIG setup for 500 or so and MIG welding is pretty easy.

I never do mild steel, so thats out. If I did, the good ol' arc welder would work.

Yeah, I meant MIG and mild steel. My friend got a used but great condition Lincoln 110V MIG welder, 2 wire spools, a full tank (small) and some extra tips locally for $105, so you see where I'm coming from. I didn't know it had to be aluminum.

Just trying to be creative... and I hate buying stuff I can make, and I end up with the tool and some new knowledge.

If you are just getting regular bends, call me and let me know what you need. I keep aluminum in stock; polished mandrel bends and straights.

This is starting to sound better! Do you keep the 4 ply black couplings and T-bolt clamps too?

I have a few black 2.5ID couplers, but can get whatever you need dropshipped to you.
I usually have several hundred t-bolt clamps in stock; stainless steel with zinc plated nut.
