I made the #'s in my sig with the P1, 347 cid, stock rods, pistons, 6.0L heads, blower cam, and alky injection at 10psi. If you're lookin for a kit I might be selling mine here soon. I have the 8-rib SDCE tensioner setup, and ati balancer to go along with it. Absolutely no belt slip with this setup. Shoot me a pm if interested.

I make 514/466 on the stock pulley P1SC with a 212/218 cam and cleaned-up heads with very little portwork through the 4L60E on the stock-bottom.

Because they were smarter than we were,

If I remember right it cost approx.$200 to upgrade to the D1 and 8 rib when you place your order? I think its around $1200 to upgrade your P1 to D1 specs. I have been kicking myself since. My car did 569.7 and 477 with the P1 and SC1 blower cam @ 10#. As suplied from ATI it only made 5# boost with the headers and exhaust. With a pulley change and 13# boost on a bonestock motor it did 508 at the wheels and three ring lands let go on the last pull. I was unaware that you could upgrade to the D1 at the time of ordering for only $200.

The P1 has made 700 rwhp on a few C5's with the A&A kit. This was with AFR heads a mild 224/228 cam and a 346 with a 3.6 pulley. That's only spinning the blower to 56375 rpm( 7.5 crank). From what I understand it's not as peaky as the D1SC. I think alot of the power a car makes is based on the effeciency of the supercharger kt. I'm at 600 RWHP with only 4.10 pulley( 9psi) stock 317 heads, stock shortblock, F7 cam, 17 degrees of timing and a rich 11.1 AFR .

Yes, its only common sense to choose the D1 knowing its only a $200 upgrade.

If you go forged/P1 keep compression at 10-1,then put on some good heads like AFR 205's,small Cam like a 220 on 114 duration. That will put you in the 600+rwhp on pump gas easilly enough and pass emmisions.

I know the P1 has a carb Number on it. But really you'll pass emmissions with the D1 or the P1..

Just get the bigger one!

People don't know what they are looking for when it comes to this stuff.
