I think the head gaskets are the new Cometics with gas rings inset. We can do whatever Tom wants us to do with the fuel system, but we have not had a decision yet AFAIK.

WOW! What size bore and what size gaskets? Mine blew 7 out of 8 on the dyno. It blew between the cylinders. I have a 4.030 bore and the gaskets were a 4.155 I think. I think the huge gap caused my problems! The tech a cometic said it shouldn't be a problem! Good luck and POST SOME NUMBERS!!!

Well, I spoke too soon about the headgaskets! After a couple of base pulls to get the tune right Kurt started the first power hit and we heard a whistle noise. The gasket was pushed out in 6 cylinders. Oh well, that's life. Better we test the limts of the gaskets on the engine dyno instead of at the track. I think we still managed 1560hp or so but I'll let Todd post the sheets up tomorrow.

The copper gaskets with o-rings will be on by the weekend and in the car she goes. All in all I am extremely satisfied the the engine and turbo kit capabilities. Time to learn how to drive this beast!

Thanks again to the crew at W2W (Kurt-Billy-Rich-Heee Haww) for all your help and expertise!

Tom

1560 hp? should be pretty slow, you might need to wear a helmet though.

Underside of the car is finish painted now, quarter panels and bad *** front bumper will be painted tomorrow. Rear end was painted and finished tonight also..... Looks like were going to have a busy couple weeks getting this car ready to rock and roll at the track. Should be fun, should be fun

Sucks about the gaskets, but you said it, better to find out on the dyno than at the track.

Setup sounds killer... can't wait to see it in the car.

Sounds like Cometic needs to go back to the drawing board with those gaskets. That's two fails in two tries from guys on the board here. We were going to try them but probably not now.
