Default turbo support???

is it really needed? i mean think of how much the stock cats weigh, they are pretty heavy. im using truck manifolds so no worry about cracking there, but should i really fab up a bracket for the turbo and gate? what ill effects will it have if i dont?

I'm hanging 70s off mild steel headers with no problems, what kind of a turbo are you running? I think my 70s are about 25lbs each

Another thing to consider is how much distance the pipe runs before the turbo

http://www.ecma-334.com/tt5.jpg

As you can see, the pipe doesn't have to run far before my turbo and is supported by 4 primaries and then it just hangs off the collector

Are you trying to run at NHRA legal events/tracks?

Im pretty sure your AFPR wont fly past tech in that location. Just a heads up.

nope, has to be forward of the firewall.

As for hanging on cast manifold, i wouldn't worry too much about it. Headers, I would add a support or two. Things may be/look strong enough when cool, but add 1600°F to the primaries and all bets are off.

Well if I end up going with any heavier turbos I will have to add some supports in - it will be REAL easy with the solid mounted motor Hell I may just do it anyway, sure don't want to have to fab up a new set of headers just yet

i did i went a lil over board but i think its good thing

after my 6.0 headers i installed t flex sections on each side and then the hot dide has a bracket that bolts underneathe the rad support so the pipes flex with the motor and and the turbo is supports

afteri get done racing with pinks this week ill snap some pics of the set up
