Default Does anyone know this Pro Mod car???

I posted this in the Eastern section but figured it's FI related- kinda . Gazing through Godragracing's pic galleries and stumbled across a pro mod car I haven't seen before. Does anyone know whose car this is? Or what company/shop built it? I'm curious, pretty neat setup. It was at Cecil's ProMod event.

If you can't find out you might be able to ask Precision turbo as they are probably a sponsor..

It's Randy Lambert's car. I think it's a Pete Bennett chassis.

Yea, I was just wondering since I've never seen the car before. I like going to the ProMod/Quick8 events. They're always fun to watch.

That car is new this year (or maybe last as I didn't make it to a shootout last year). Are you planning on going to the August 5th shootout? I know I'll be there for the Lucas Oil's Series @ the end of the Summer. I bet that thing is a handful on 10.5

I think its new this year as I have never seen it before. Is the Lucas Oil series the Outlaw/ProMod or Top Fueler series? I go to Maple Grove every year for the Top Fuelers. Lemme know the date- is it at Cecil?

Same car, different front I believe. It had a cowl hood last year.

Lucas Oil's Series is the Top Alky Dragster and Funny Car, no nitro cars. Cecil doesn't have enough shut down for 300+ MPH passes.

Last week of the month. The 23-27th, but the Pro Mods and TAD TAFC all run Fri and Saturday (qualifying on friday, + 1st round of PM, eliminations on Saturday for TAD, TAFC, and the final 3rds of PM).

I seroiusly doubt if the twin camaro you originally posted qualifies under Cecil's Q8 10.5. I thought their rules said ONLY backhalfed cars and no removable front clips (I could be wrong though). The Silver Turbo Camaro (the last one down) I've seen @ Q8 events @ Cecil for the last few years. That is a stout piece. I believe he's been running deep 8s and high 7s as of 2 years ago (like I said I didn't see a Streetcar event other than NSCA last year).

Keep me posted to anyone in the area that's headin' to a Sat. Night Shootout or the Lucas Oil's Event @ the end of August.

My buddy and I normally go to the T&T on saturdays at Cecil. Track prep is good and it doesnt have all the 18 second honda civics and ****. Right now money is tight but let me know, we can post a thread and get as many ls1tech'ers to head down one saturday and have a good fbody turnout. We can set a date say 4-6 weekends away and post up to give people time to see the thread and allot time.

So is that the same car Randy Lambert had a few years ago, it's a 96 with a newer front clip?

I believe that is the same car. I used to see Randy all the time over in VA but, it's been a few years since I've talked to him now.

That car looks killer in person. He was just at the ORSCA race here a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I never saw it run, he broke something at the begining of second round and I had to leave before third round. Definately a 10.5 Outlaw car.

I think to watch those guys on Friday and Saturday it's like a gate fee of 20 bucks or something (maybe 25). If you get a 2 day pass, it's a bit cheaper.

Nah, its like $10 if I remember to spectate. $20-30 to race at Test and Tune. I only go on saturdays. Let me know.

A lot of 10.5W Super Street classes are now allowing removable front clips provided that the hood and bumper/fenders are two separate pieces and not a full one piece removable. It's so nice to have the front clip come off in between rounds!
