Default F-body Turbo Kit

Gday guys, Martin Donnon here from Aus.
Now this isnt an advertisement, nor is it trying to drum up business, what I would like to know from you guys is which model LS1 we should develop our budget priced TT kit for next. We have done GTO, and yes, shipped them to the ls1gto guys Stateside without any issues (our lead time to shipping is around 10 days from placement of order for a complete kit) and we run a business not a circus

I really want to know more than anything else where the real demand for turbocharger technology is stateside, and mods rest assured when we have purchased a US car and begin the design phase we will be fully paid up sponsors of ls1tech....happy to fill in and pass any 'turbo company' application you have too

Definately F body cars. Everyone that has come up with a kit has flopped. TTi is the only one left that you can have a kit right after you order it with no excuses. There a one or 2 others, but you end up waiting forever.

Our aim for an fbody would be a complete intercooled turbocharger kit for $4500USD + $400 freight ($4900 to your door) which is something we have been able to manage for the GTO. The difference this time is that F-body cars are thin on the ground in Aus, and quite expensive ($30+K USD) so I want to make sure that the engine bays are all the same between F-body variants etc before handing over the money for a car. Any help is appreciated

I hear you loud and clear. Quite frankly I have been shocked with some of the stuff I have read on here of late, which is why we have decided the time is right to produce an F-body kit at the right price, that you can actually have on your doorstep within 10 days of ordering it....its like the door has been left open for this kind of opportunity

I think the biggest demand would be for a 98 - 02 LS1 Fbody kit. I'd like to see cast manifolds to the turbos for long term durability. The GTO kit looks awsome, almost makes me wish I hadn't sold the GTO for another Fbody.

Hope you can find a way to make a kit that fits right and is a true bolt on for a great price!

I'm in the market for a Turbo kit but would like to have a single turbo. What size turbo would you guys be shooting for for $5K? I'm looking to go 76mm or maybe a little bigger.

I think from a business standpoint you should build C6 Corvette kits. Those cars are going to be all over the place (in America) in two years and the new owners dump silly money on them when they first buy 'em.

From an F-body standpoint I think you should build kits that are based using cast manifolds. I wouldn't trust a welded manifold from cracking 100k miles after installing the kit.

The cost of having new manifolds cast-even in China would still be pretty high. If you could base the kit using the stock cast iron '01+ f-body manifolds you can build a bolt on crossover pipe (for single applications) or a twin kit mounted aft of each manifold.

If you can make a kit that keeps the ac (not always done because of tight fitment- AC compressor/bracket taking up valuable real estate) that would be a huge seller for many buyers.

Keeping the factory cast manifolds will help keep prices in check and also aid in making the kit realiable for 100k+ miles. ~Joshua

1st and most important rule of turbo kit building DO NOT PROMISE SOMETHING YOU CANNOT 100% DELIVER ON (under promise and over produce) it will get you far.
