i only reluctantly raced my buddies nitrous cars. i REALLY didnt want to as the car is far from ready, i have major exhaust leaks (b4 the turbo, holds boost for like a split second), it was low boost, and i havent really torn thru the gears yet.. needless to say, they got me outa the hole. i was deadset on NOT racing cuz i wasnt ready, but i was pressured into it.

i dont really care tho cuz there will be a nice before/after once we line up again. nothing to be ashamed of on the other hand cuz these cars are decently fast.

Hmm, I didn't think we would have to buy anything else to get this **** running. What are you planning on doing to get this to work?

hey turbo ls1 ss I'm install my kit now and have a couple questions for you.

1. what did you do about an overflow tank?
2. what did you do about the dipstick?
3. how did you route your spark plug wires?

I think thats it for now.

thanks

i want to add, where did u make the connection for the wire coming from the trunk battery? did u just connect it where the stock connection was and run the wire under the turbo to the trunk?

well....some of these things i did for temp placement. over winter im gona try to go over everything and place it better.

for now:

i have a Jaz coolent overflow. i actually mounted it to the driverside inner fender well below the fuse boxes. i dont think the rad was able to draw the coolent back properly, so, once i have time, im gona re-attack that.

i dont even have a dipstick at the moment. i cut the factory shaft and welded it shut, and used it as a plug. i just keep a close eye on my oil psi. the only thing that will work (that i know of) would be a flex dipstick, which again, i will attack over winter.

spark plug wires. you need TAYLOR LT1 ends as they are the only ones that work on ls1 coil packs. i got a msd kit, and routed 2 to the front of the head, and 2 to the rear of the head on both sides. u need 90* boots for the plug side, and route them UNDER the headers.

for batter connection, i got a universal relocation kit. again, another temp "hack"job. u need to ground the block to the body, and the battery to the body. SOLID METAL TO METAL GROUNDS. i ran the power cable along side the body of the car (where the fuel/brake lines go), along teh power steering rack, and a connected it to the factory positive battery connection, taped it up realll good and isolated it. over winter, im redoing it the right way.

again, i did all this **** quickly to get the car on the road. over winter, im pretty sure im stripping the car to repaint it, top and bottom, then reinstalling and making the whole car super clean.
