Default Final Tune/Dyno done...

Well finally stuck it on the rollers at Conley's Performance here in Houston to see where the final tune needed to be and get some numbers. On the Mustang Dyno: 781RWHP / 720RWTQ. What we liked about it was the perfectly flat (781 HP) line from around 6000 to 7300rpms...Not exacty sure what it would be on a Dynojet Dyno. I've read 10-12% higher.

Heres a link to some of the pulls...

http://media.putfile.com/Dyno-Pulls

"Special Thanks" of course goes to Mike (IconAutoSports) for your time and patience through all of this and helping me put together a pretty nasty ride...

Joe (G&G Performance Engines) for building a bad *** LS2, Lonnie (Lonnies Performance) for a great fuel set up that many thought wouldn't be enough, Nate (Nasty Performance) for all the other needed fuel goodies, Bob EPP (Exotic Perfromance Plus) for the FMIC and piping kit, great looking/fitting kit, Eric (ESR) for your time and a great tuning and last but not least my wife for putting up with all my ****!! Great job to everyone involved... "THANKS"!!!!!!!

Is it really good that the HP is flat from 5000+, or are you showing a limitation somewhere (blower, airflow, etc.)? You'd think the goal is to have a constant rise in HP until peak. ??

It was impressive, I was there to watch the pulls. That thing wants to launch off the dyno rollers. Keep in mind that these pulls were done thru a full exhaust with a muffler, they had to close the cutout to get a good reading on the wideband O2. I wonder how much the cutout would be worth?

once you reach peak boost, the curve will follow the flow characteristics of the heads for the boost pressure and the curves will look more like a naturally aspirated engine. if you were to see a continuous rise, you would not have reached peak boost yet and the turbo is still building higher pressure over the rpm rang much like a blower car does. the key to turbochargers aside from being more efficient then blowers is the fact that they reach their peak boost much sooner and give you a lot more area under the curve of usable power and torque to drive with.

nice numbers man!! looking forward to the track results!

Sweet. I need to check out the links and get some looks at the mounting etc. That sounds like a damn solid setup.

Works obviously, I may try that, looks like a pasta strainer or something.

Aluminum cobra type thing would be nice..
