Wow awesome man. What was the boost set on?? Judging by the way that car took off, looks like their is alot left in it. How much further can you take it?? Looks like it already time to upgrade turbos as well....lol.

Kyle's car doesn't have the GT4276 on it anymore. After hours of investigation and looking at the compressor maps of a GT42 74 wheel. We determined that the turbo was SOOOO Far outside the efficiency band, there was no way the car was ever going to run anything respectable, nor be efficient for everyday driving like kyle wants. Bottom line, the turbo was just too small for the RPM we are spinning the car at, and the power kyle wanted to make. so..... we happen to have a S-88 laying around the shop to make some test runs in the car with. Much happier turbo for the car. the 10.00 pass was at 12lbs and inlet temps that were 50 degrees cooler at that boost level compared to the 76. When we turned it up to 20lbs. You saw the outcome, we had 45 degree cooler inlet temps, picked up 1.2 seconds and 22mph. With the 370 cubes kyle is running, that turbo is almost perfect. Were pretty pleased to have found out what we did this past few days. It was very stressful on all parties. Bottom line is we had a turbo on the car that was not even close to what we thought it would do. The car is absolutely an animal on the streets. Street tires on this thing is going to be absolutely crazy! It was bad on Slicks, had me grabbing for door bar and whatever else I could get my hands on when harlan took me for a ride when we got it sorted out.... I don't know maybe im just a big sally if im not driving.
We can't wait to get this car to kyle now so he can start making you all some cool video's and just plain drive it around and beat on it. His car is very fun, very streetable, and should be a blast for him. Can't wait to see ya when we bring it down kyle, going to be fun.

p.s. ON a side note, We have to throw a huge thanks out to everyone that helped us try to diagnose the problems or potential problems with the car... You guys know who you are, there are way too many to thank.

The turbo wasn't efficient enough for kyle's motor. We had no backpressure in the 76. we checked that before we took it off. The backpressure measured 29lbs right at the exhaust inlet to the turbo. That was with the turbo making 21-22lbs of boost. So backpressure wasn't the issue. The valves were not, or are not floating either. We didn't even change the springs in kyle's car. It still has the patriot golds in there because they measured out much stronger then the comp 921 with his installed height of 1.725. The turbo is the only thing we changed on the car this weekend and it's running great. Like I said, bottom line is we just had the wrong turbo combination in his car. We are spinning the car much higher then we ever anticpated when this project first started. The car lives at 5800-7200 during the pass. the GT4276 exceeded it's flow possibilites for his 370 c.i. at well below that. We were just working the turbo to damn hard for it to even think about producing horsepower.
Glad it's solved though.

Nice runs! He ended up going with a 400 right, so I'm guessing those runs are off the footbreak and without a two step (I didn't have it turned up too loud here @ work). If that's the case, I would think there would still be pleanty left on the table. Definately looks like its a handful on the track since she got out of shape on Matt on the 2nd pass.
Have fun with it Kyle, we all know how long you've been waiting for this.
