Unported 243's. It ran 11.01@130 at 5psi and 12* timing. About 525rwhp. At 6psi and 14.5* it put down 550/500. At 10psi 14.5* and below 10.0:1afr = 632/517. I am installing meth and am going to pulley down to run around 8psi. Should be around 600/550. I will get some more track times after that.

stock 6.0L heads are 317's correct? How much approx CR drop are you guys seeing switching to these over stock LS1 heads? Also whats the approx hp gain by getting them ported? Real necessary to have them ported? Thanks

You'll usually see around a .5 cr drop from stock 66 cc heads... It's not necessary but every little bit counts...

Heads should go hand-in-hand with the intake - are people using the LS6 intake or the LSX/LS2 intake? How is the upper (6500+) rpm performance? If there is a gain w/and LSX-90 - is it really worth the extra price?

Also- what intake port sizing is adviseable? Supposing a stock 346- would a 205cc runner work better in an FI app than a 225? If so, where in the rpm range would it work better, and why?

Thanks
Ben

I run a GMPP Single Plane converted to EFI with an Elbow and a 90mm throttle body installed. I mildly ported it to clean up the casting flash (which is a major undertaking because it needs a lot of work). I still left myself plenty of room to grow, but in order to do a proper job of porting you need to cut the intake manifold in half, port it and then weld it back together. That will be for the next go-around I am sure, it should breathe plenty well as is.
