Firehawk, that sounds very cool I hope that cam makes good power because it's similar to my 281XER 232/234 112LSA and that’s the sound I was after. I'll be using a modified TV81/TV71 its a 81/108mm compressor with a 95/76mm turbine wheel .96ar T6 housing with the 5" dump Y'd into two 3" exhaust pipes.

Awesome build, It looks like your walking the fence between show and go

Do you really think you'll see a difference in power between a 227/224 and a 227/227? I've seen engines change less than 2 hp from adding 15 deg of exhaust duration.

That's what I'm saying. . . do you really think that a 3 degree reduction in exhaust duration will do anything to help you?

People often put too much thought into the camshaft (imho).. and nothing else so be careful. Less is more sometimes.

You call 5 shops and will get 5 different answers. I think all want to make their "mark" in the industry. Only one suggested a reverse split. I believe it makes little sense since we are FORCING air into the cylinder.. In theory or "my opinion", more duration on the exhaust side makes sense because exhaust is being removed "naturally"...

Note, this is only my opinion. Time will tell how my motor runs when it is completed..

I posted something very similar to this a few weeks ago and got virtually no reponse. What I did get was everyone saying go with a reverse split. I was not happy with those answers as they were just to generic. It seems nobody really has an answer to this question because there are to many variables involved.

So then I posted in the advanced section and what a thread it turned out to be https://ls1tech.com/forums/advanced-engineering-tech/541215-cam-turbo-questions-about-lsa-icl-dcr.html

I then posted again in this section for everyones input and again got 0 replies https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/544604-please-look-thread.html

Bottom line: I went with the exact cam that MiaSSmaro98 is talking about. It's a Thunder Racing cam 227/224 .569/.563 114 LSA. At this point I don't care if it's a great cam, a bad cam, or what ever. I'm tired of the cam debate in FI. It's going in PERIOD.
