Very cool looking unit IMHO!!

I'm pretty sure you have this confused with a 112. Pretty hard to sell a blower to Vette guys, when it has never been fitted on a Vette. Not to mention, I think Magnuson only has a few of them right now, and they will more than likely not be selling in any "kits".

Do you have pics of the bottom of that blower?

I'd have that sucker ported in no time. I'm ***uming that it's damned near the
exact same blower on the GT500.

Unfortunatley, I do not. It is similiar to the GT500, however, I believe they have a MP122 possibly? As for porting, the only eaton part in the blowers is the rotors. The case is made by Magnuson, and from what I have been told, they do not usually need any porting.

The GT500 uses the MP122H (H=hybird which you know I'm sure).

Just a suggestion of course regarding porting it. I'd have a few experts
take a look at it. I wouldn't be surprised if you found another 40rwhp or
so with a port. Take a look here if you're interested in seeing a MP122H
ported.

Anyway...looks awesome! A roots blower is an awful lot of
fun on the street.

It appears you have no idea what you are talking about. Both on the availability and the fact they have not been fitted on a Vette!

Here is a link to an install. Go to http://www.vettetech.com/ , go to projects and look for Marty's 2000 C5 Fixed Roof Coupe Mechanical - Part II

Thats a 122 sitting on a 402 stroker.. Magnacharger supplied everything!! Torque is instant! Car runs like a raped ape!

Please get facts correct before telling people they are confused!!

Thank you.

Funny, but it looks like you are the confused one. The blower in those photos on that Vette are the MP112 unit. I should know, I've owned two of them. The larger unit has the oval cast into the side, where it says "Magnacharger" like in the photos posted at the top of this thread. The MP122 also has shorter fins on the side of the housing.

That site also says it made 550 rwhp with a 402ci LS2. Sure sounds like the smaller unit to me, since mine made 550 rwhp with a stock cube LS2 and stock heads on it. The MP122 will make almost 700 hp...

Sorry but you are wrong. It is a 122. Those aren't dyno numbers. They are the numbers magnacharger told the guy to expect.

I doubt the 122 will make 700 unless it is in near race conditions and on a 427 or larger motor.

Thank you.

Since they aren't selling any on the Magnacharger website for Camaro's/Firebirds would the GTO kit work? I'm very interested in making this a winter project!!

Unless they changed the actually housing for the two different applications, which I've never heard of before, then your smoking some crack. Marty's pics do NOT have the Magnuson Oval Emblem on the side, the fins are different, the bolt bossing on the TB Adapter to housing is different etc... Marty's is a MP112 in those pics.

Agreed!!
One look at the bearings (122's are significantly larger) on the jackshaft tells me it's a 112, not a 122.

It is funny to see someone self-own themselves, then go into denial

24V,

My apologies. Seems I was given inaccurate information regarding this unit. You are correct, the confusion is on my end.

To others that posted civilly regarding my error, thanks for the input.

To those that have nothing better to do than flame someone that made an error, I trully hope it gives you fullfillment and a way to make it through each of your meaningless days!!

Sorry it took me so long to respond, I have been out of town for work. I will definetly ask around about porting it eventually. For now, I just need to get it tuned, and see what it will make in the current configuration. We did not get a chance to tune it last weekend. More than likely we will be tuning next weekend. I wish it could happen sooner, but I am way busy with work, as is the guy that helps me with the tuning.

The jackshaft, bearings, and pullies are unchaged from the 112 to the 122. The only difference is the blower itself.
