prochargher inlet hat options (Cobra head intake)
I have a 01 SS with a D1-sc Procharger system installed,
As we all know the stock Procharger inlet hat is very restrictive,
A friend of mine tested his car by removing the whole intake, (filter, hose, and hat) he was making 12.5 PSI , after removing the Hat he took the car for a quick blast and then seen 15.5 PSI on his boost gauge,
3 PSI is a lot of boost to loose.
I am about to get my car tuned next week, i wanted to know what others are doing to replace the stock hat,
I was thinking of installing one of those 4"Cobra rubber intake hats,
The Cobra looks just like the stock procharger one, but wider and a full 4"
Has anyone tryed a cobra?
If so how well does it fit? and did you pick up any boost or power,
Please let me know
post pictures
thank you

You move the radiator forwards and theres enough clearence to put a elbow and a filter. If you dont mind cutting the car and loosing ac, its a simple mod that gains huge power. I'll get some pictures up tommrow.
that would be fantastic, I'd love to see this. are we talking about a F1 or D1?
