Is there a paypal fund started? I was just gonna blow some money betting on import/domestic races tonight, I'd much rather help someone in need.

hey guys, thanks all again, the response is really overwhelming! you are great people.

most people either want me to stay f body or go rx7, i'm leaning to f body because there is more metal around me.. so at this point the big question is fix this one or swap everything good into another one.

if anybody has any good estimating skills i would really appreciate it.. ive never been involved with body repair before and really have no idea.

thanks again! and again i am completely fine. in fact i smashed a finger yesterday pulling out a friends transmission for a clutch swap, and that hurts worse than anything else.

If my TT Firehawk was totalled, I'd eigther go with a Corvette or RX7.

Seriously the RX7 would be insane. Considering the costs of getting a 'Vette roller I'd start with the RX.

RX7 for the win!... 2,800 pounds + 800 rwhp =

Well I gave you my first hand experince with ths type of repair in my earlier post and while it is possible to repair the current car if you have another unibody the (bird you mentioned) would be your best bet by far to swap all part you can and repalce what you have to the cost in painting will be well saved in the time and effort of repair to the damaged body and it will save you a ton of time, and don't have to worry about the structure of the car being a little out of whack which could hurt body alignment. I've done both and by far painting the unibody what ever color you want and swapping all good mechanical parts will be your best and easiest bet. Good luck again and again if you need any one's advice let me know cause I will help if I can.

I wouldnt rebuild yours.. these cars flex and move in places and it will likely never be "right" again. Vette parts are pricey and you cant reall ever pull a wheel stand...lol, as for the RX-7... neat, but if you has the same accident in a RX-7 I dont think you would be writing to us from home, but perhaps a hospital. My 2 cents.

I don't think it matters what car you use for the next build, because either way I bet you have some good safety equipment. It isn't like F bodies are known for being safe, in fact in a report I read they were the least safe in a major collision. Thats why they make roll cages and stuff. I wouldn't want to crash a stock F body, vette, or RX7 at 130+ MPH, your chances aren't that good.

I'd get another 99-02 F-Body, like a V6 or a rolling chassis. The front end damage on your current ride might cost more than a nice V6 car. It's pretty stove in so I'm thinking major time on the frame machine.
