I would like to see the modified areas to do this install. i am interested in a bolt-on FI for a streetable 450-500whp range. I would like to do the tuner kit since I have the fuel system, induction and tuner. This would be for the TA.

I read another post that said KB would send a mockup blower for a small deposit. I am getting ready to install an I/C Magnuson kit, so I'm sure I could do some development work for a KB while it's all apart.

Serious guys, PM me and we can discuss some specifics.
Thanks,
Ed

Any guesses on what this kit would make with a 402/AFR225's/ QTP 1 7/8's hvmc's and an appropriate cam? Compression would be about 9.6:1

I think an intercooled kit making 7PSI and a cam similar to Nineball's will put that combo over 600RWHP, the nice thing is that it would probably make about the same amount of RWTQ right off idle.

Hit me up if I can answer any questions.

Just cut the cowl. You could always weld in a piece so that the water wouldnt run down into the engine bay. Seems much easier than changing the geometry of the car.

I will have the first production I/C kit from Magnuson in hand on Tuesday, and post some pics. This kit is nice! I think people will really like them when the first kits ship out to customers!

Ed, at what HP level does the I/C Magi lose efficiency and start heating up?

Dan

I have usually seen the limit to be 9 PSI, any more boost than that, and the horsepower returns are greatly diminished.

8-9 PSI on a basically stock LS1 should be good for about 600 RWHP

Hope this helps,
Ed

Thanks for the interest guys,

The best my non I/C car has been is 11.97@116 and it's making 430RWHP/419RWTQ

I'm installing an intercooled kit now on an otherwise stock '99 Trans Am, which made 280RWHP stock so this will give a good indication of what the typical customer can expect.

Sebastian, let me know if you had any other questions, or if that answered it for you.

Here is a pic of the I/C kit, let me know if I can answer any questions,
Ed

I'm not familiar with that car, does anyone have a pic or some other info?

never heard of it either. The most power lt1 i heard of was the lt5 with the dohc heads. Maybe he is thinking nof the turbo v6s in the mid80s-early 90s, or the supercharged 3800 series.

I have a question about your kit, has anybody installed it on a stock car to compare numbers? I'm jsut curious, i'm very interested in the kit down the road because of the instant throttle response.

I'm installing one on a bone stock '99 Trans AM A/T right now, hopefully I will have numbers late next week.

I think he is refering to this prototype car with the smaller LT1 I think it was a 4.3 liter engine

That looks pretty sweet! the interesting thing here is that this car is using
the same Eaton 112 supercharger that's in my kit! This one was driven from the front like a truck kit. 8.5 PSI from an intercooled S/C is a TON of power on a street car.
