I think Bob sells the 4" thick ebay style intercoolers for about $299.

An intercooler will not reduce backpressure. That is an issue on the exhaust side.

I think yes... here me out though. Rigt now the compressor is putting out 35psi and the backpressure is ~65psi right (aproximately 2:1 back pessure.. not bad). The problem is the 35psi compressor oulet pressure is so high in order to achieve 15psi gauge pressure @ manifold. Increase the size of the intercooler and the compressor outlet pressure will go down and so should the exhaust backpressure... thats my opinion anyway

That is understandable, but I would doubt that intercooler is that restrictive. What are the IAT's looking like?? If its at 35psi then it should be around 350-400 on the discharge temps, and the IC would be on fire....lol

I just ordered this new intercooler from Bob @ EPP http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=772 It will not be as good as the Precision Intercooler but it will meet my needs for now. It has been tested according to Bob to over 900RWH with no issues on Mustang Dyno. So it will meet my needs. Also it should be here this weekend and hopefully I will get to put it on. I will run more tests too before and after.

Hey,
Good street numbers and that is a bunch of tourque, so hang on when it hits. I have about 3 turbo cars and have had various kits. That 76 Turbo is cabable of more PSI boost, but boost really isn't what makes horsepwer. It is the amount of air that can be pumped through the system. Do not know the piping sizes and intake, specs, but all of that plays into the end results. Sound like the exhaust side is somewhat limited!

Those are incredible numbers.
My custom Cartek/STS 388CID rear mount single GTS-76 went a best of 9.33 at 149mph on a 16-inch drag radial , here's the video , http://www.learntodragrace.com/mike933.wmv the system is at it's max and I'm stepping up to a bigger turbo with more cubes in the next few weeks , doing research now on proper turbo size .

Dayum Shane....maybe I'll just leave my car alone from now on. Too many headaches with this major modding. . I feel for you, but that thing is going to be even more of a beast when you get it all ironed out. I'm still waiting for my ride .

Please, please, PLEASE make sure your cold-side pressure-drop problems are solved before swapping turbo's!

OK, I have a guy interested in turbo and intercooler, I will check all of this before I switch them out. I really don't think the turbo is done yet but I will only be out a few hundred dollors to switch.

I have this kit and I am using a PTE-T67 turbo. I didn't do the T-76 because my goal was only 600rwhp with quick spool time for the street. I do have the upgraded 1.75" primaries, 2.5" crossover, 3" log and 3" dp. I am also using a .96 a/r exhaust housing so I am in a little better shape that 02SSLE as far as breathing. I made right at 600rwhp on my 346 but it took 16-17lbs to make that much power (the turbo should be maxed). My question is would the larger T-76 make the same power with less boost yielding me a lower backpressure level? Secondly, I am using an LS1 intake manifold. There is no true way of knowing without testing but estimating, what is that intake costing me? Anotherwards, how much more boost am I having to run to make the same power? I am not trying to make any more power, 600rwhp is fine for me. But could an LS6 intake possibly allow me to make the same hp on two psi less boost?

I'm not trying to steal your thunder 02SSLE, I just thought I would chime in since the same kit was in question. That and I am concerned with backpressre and may possibly buy your T-76 if it will help my cause, and as long as you haven't sold it yet. I would love to hear that the LS6 intake would drop 1.5 psi and the T-76 would drop another 1.5 psi. I could make 600rwhp on 13psi of boost!
