550 boosted HP will SOTP feel a lot faster than a 400 hp na car. Is that what you wanted to hear?

A 550rwhp fbody will be a handful for a KB Cobra... so yeah it will feel fast.

you'd have to be pretty hooked up to see 130, but its very possible

Thats some shitty driving right there...should have thrown on some slicks or at least DRs and set her flying

I ran 12.4s at 109

lol shitty driving huh? it was a 2.1 60' AGAIN..ON LOW PROFILE STREET TIRES..if you could get the car into the 12's id be impressed. Cant launch in boost..cuz it will spin..or too low of an rpm it will bog..you have to feather the clutch..oh i forgot to mention..the cord was showing on the tires..i didnt notice till I got the car in the lanes...(its really low)..i think a 12.4 on street tires isnt too bad at all. not to mention I drove my cat back/cai 93 t/a to a 13.4@106 on street tires.

It got old on me quick (~480 rwhp at 8 psi)... Didn't feel fast any more... 550 would have been better I suppose. I imagine it would get old to me on the street as well. This is why I'm going for a little more.

was a full weight car and through a 6 speed.
next setup i hit 128 with the same amount of boost (t76 vrs a PTE88) i was probably about 580rwhp, i upped it to trap 130 and over shot my mark hitting 135mph putting me close to 680-700rwhp at my weight.
to hit 130mph youll need around 625rwhp

Driving those stalled/automatic/stock motor cars is brutally difficult

500-550 is decent for a DD. I don't find myself always wishing for more (of course I wouldn't complain either). It certainly brings attention when I get on it, which I don't very often at all (just spins tires at speeds <50). Definitely after more for the occasional weekend out car though.

I don't know where you are, because you haven't indicated, but on the 'graph in Detroit I have seen 8-teen cars run for the money. If you want to impress a few Cobras, you my do that, but if you want the money in Detroit, or for that matter anywhere in Texas, you're going to get smoked... and broke.

Keep building, and you may get a contender, but you don't have the muscle right now.

Although if he's not planning to race for money, then I'd say those power levels are plenty high enough to be a contender for some friendly fun.

Well, I know the supra was making well under 500rwhp and it was trapping 120. My friends supercharged Z06 made 500rwhp even and trapped 122 with a HORRIBLE driver. And where im from...the supra lol..was more than enough for 99% of the people around here..that i found anyways. I know there are the big dogs around..but you wont find them on the highway during the day just cruising around..or on the highway ever..unless its on the back of a trailor. I dont race for money..and if I do..its for a small amount that wouldnt hurt to lose...esp for the amount of fun. My good friend has a car that went 10.3@109(slamming the brakes)..its a 98WS6...3 speed auto with a stall/383LS6-250shot..hes what we use for our money races.

...im just hoping I wont get dissapointed with it. I have happy as hell with 400rw..untill I drove the supra..my car with heads/cam was fast from the second you hit the pedal..I love how the supra is ******* slow as ***** until it comes into boost and then it just throws you into the seat..im hoping for something aroudn the same.
