If I was ATI I'd be on you to try a F1_ and go for an 8.xx run.

Go Big cubes and Big Turbo or Go home.

if you're considering getting out of the lsx platform, definitely go with a BBC 565 or 632 with a power adder on top. Don't mess around.

Big usually = more work lol. Only thing I do to this car is change the oil and rear tires every once in a while

I may go to carolina dragway end of the month for one last blast, would like to get a 9.2x before I take it apart and carolina is a good hookin track.

They have plenty of fast cars to worry about mine. I wonder how many D1SC ~33-3400lb cars have run in the 8s?

I used to run a 706 DRCE with 3 stages of nitrous, a 632 is a baby BBC to me

Yea, there is a white LS1 bodystyle TA with a formula hatch like mine I seen before - forget the guys name but he has a stout nitrous BBC in there. Something like that would be nice but wouldnt go over very well with the neighbors here.. These engines are fun, somewhat reliable, easy to work on and fancy subdivision friendly

Got a new mustang GT convertable, was going to put a blower on it but been seeing too many pics of folded over connecting rods and broken pistons on the 3V engines

Get your car back yet?

well whatever you decide i'm sure of one thing , you'll have it flying in no time flat !
oh,and congrats to the consistent 5.9x range.i would still like to see what your ride would do with around a 50-100 shot or a 3.4 pulley with a spray bar or meth but as you have stated, more worries but now seems like the time for that last run at the 8 sec barrier.have you added up what the rpms would be if you did use a 3.4 pulley at your shifts now ?

F1A could be the thing that will get you your .3 to achieve the 8's. The nice thing about the F1A is that it requires much less work to make it fit than a F1-R. I have seen a F1-R on a T/A and he had no filter. The blower it self was laying on the radiator.

I tried the 3.4 pulley a couple times and it just doesnt do anything. No reason trying to push it this late in the year. If I can hit a zero DA day on a good hooking track I'll pick up 1.5psi but it still wont run 8s.

Meth wont do me any good, I'm running race gas and plenty of timing and my IATs are well under 100 in the 1/8. I'm still running it a little rich though so there is a little power to be gained but there is no 'big' stuff left to do with this combo really. 100 shot would easily get me there but I dont see the need to blow it up to run an internet number If its going to run 8s its going to do it every time, 150+ times a year with no nitrous

My only goal for this combo was to run 9s anywhere around here in the summer and I think I have that covered pretty well. I'm a little disappointed with myself this year because I missed a couple decent events I wanted to go to just trying to get in the 5s in the 1/8. Timeslip racing is cool and all but I prefer a little side by side competition. But on the plus side part of the summer was spent getting the car legal to 8.50 and I'm good to 7.50 so next year I dont have to worry about that stuff at least.

I have no problem moving the radiator really, just dont want to go overkill on a blower since the biggest pulley setup I can run is 7.25/4.10 and thats spinning it up there pretty good.. F1 or F1A will probably be what I will end up with along with some better heads on the 346, unless I change my mind in the next hour Be pretty cool to hit 8s with a small cammed 346 I guess..

KP you have really done a nice job with getting the most out of that car-setup! I think it would be cool and fun for you to go with a turbo set up. Still keeping the the drive ability and the neighbors happy!

I would love to see you take your turn with a turbo car. You cover so many facts and try so many different things, all the data you observe is cool.

I would like to do a single 88 and a powerglide too, maybe I do need another car lol. I dont really car about driving it much anymore, 10pt cage kinda killed that even though I do drive it here and there - enough to gte pulled over by the popo. Didnt realize the plates were expired, but the cop wasnt concerned about the ET drags - got off with the old 'nice car' and a warning

I hade a fairly quick GN years ago, turbos are nothing new really but the newer PCMs with great tuning software on these cars plus the aftermarket ECUs are light years ahead of what I had to work with nearly 20 years ago. Most of my GN fuel system was duct taped together

Plus there were no internet forums to get decent info from like this one, you just bought stuff and if it didnt work you were the first to know.

But laziness sometimes prevails and the all the brackets are there to just bolt on a bigger blower

I doubt I'll do it, I can dyno it anytime I want but really have no interest in what it makes.
