Default Last 1/8 mile passes on this combo..

Still undecided what to do for next near but I got bored and figured i'd run it one more time. Decent weather, DA was around 1400' or so. Previous best was 5.93 and of course the best it ran today was 5.93. Track was hooking decent, shame it didnt hook like this at BG a couple weeks ago All passes were between 5.96 and 5.93

May make one more trip to a 1/4 mile track this year but I doubt it. Still trying to decide if I want to go bigger blower/402 maybe or turbo. Even thinking turbo regular SBC. Either way I'm pretty sure this is about all this has in it without getting into some nicer engine parts and lighter drivetrain stuff so its either make it lighter or add more power...

Anyhow, if all the passes look the same, except for the first when it didnt hook at all, they pretty much are lol. Getting pretty boring

Id go with a 402 and Turbo, large turbo of course, S88 or so IMO. Either way those are some good times. Definitely go with more power, then think about cutting weight down.

Your car is sick man! You definately have it dialed in.

Hmm, make it lighter or add more power.....how about both, you add more power and I will drive it, that will make it lighter LOL. 115 lb "lightweight driver mod" right here

F1C would be a little much I think, I was thinking F1A but then if I go with a bigger engine I'd rather have the F1C or R..

Hard to decide what to do, 115lb driver would help though lol.

I will buy your engine you have now!! That's awesome. I would like to see you stay with a blower. Hell you have done some much with the D1SC. I can't imagine an F1 and Bigger cubes!!!

a bigger motor is a definant.... I think a larger procharger and atleast a 402 (because it has all the bolt holes down there ) but the only thing is once you get a F1r i think thats the biggest that will fit on the J-bracket... or i could be wrong... then your looking at a custom setup any way... if your looking for more than 1000rwhp than id look to a turbo setup....

either way it WILL be in the 8's next year

I agree, turbos are cool and all but it seems everyone has one now. This is such a simple and reliable setup that will plain scare the **** out of you on the street. My car may be a little lighter then most but 3400+ lbs is hardly lightweight for a drag car..

The engine will be sold, someone local will get a heck of a deal. I cant complain about the engine one bit. When you have an engine that doesnt give any problems and a blower setup that gives no problems its easy to mess around with other stuff and get the car running well. I cant even take much credit for tuning anymore, with the BS3 I just type in the a/f ratio I want to run at whatever MAP and RPM and it does all the work.

If I wasnt so lazy I would swtich, but I have run turbos before and they take a little more effort. Its worth the effort to some but not to me at this point.

If was to go over an F1R I would probably switch to a turbo, but really I'm happy how the car is running now. Would be nice to go 8s but that .3 is going to cost around 10K to do it reliably. Could just put a 150 shot on it and pray it holds together if i just want to run the number

Go with the bigger procharger KP. I think your combo is awesome and with the F1 you could probably hit 8s on the small cube setup

kp, you're a wizard for getting the most from the least.

5's from a D1 is killer.

8's will happen in 2007.....just a matter of how.

Thats because I have no money lol.

I may just take a break for a season and save some money up, so many cool blocks and heads coming out it may be wise to hold off a while.

that new gm block seems VERY promising huh?

I would "stay the course" and switch strageties. lol maybe a 383ci F1, not so heavy as the iron 408ci, but enough cubes to get you a solid number.

I would just do an LS2/4" over a 383, lot of nice stuff coming down the pipe for these so maybe best to wait a year and just do a bigger blower on the 347 for now.
