Default A little advice....2-Step

I just installed my Synergy 2-Step and was wondering how you 6spds are lauching with it. I've tried mashing the gas and dumping the clutch and it seems to spin through first. would it be a better idea to just half throttle it and feather into the gas or lower my rpm settings and floor it? The last time I tested it, it was set at 3k. Any help would be nice

John

The 2 step is really only valuable if you have slicks and can hook. Otherwise it just there to burn tires

I run it with Hoosier ET Streets. I just wanted to know what technique everyone using, half throttle and feather in it w/ 2 step set at high rpm, set at low rpm and floor it all the way, ect.

I think that the whole point of a two step is to be able to WOT it to get off of the line quicker...Just turn it down a bit and see how it reacts...

If you are trying this on the street you can forget about it...

Also, you have to remember John that Qualcomm isn't the best prepared track around so that could be part of your spinning....I don't even know if they do anything to it... Just food for thought...

If you are spinning on the track maybe you need to lower the rpm. If you are trying it on the street then it will not do any good unless the car is set-up to hook on the street.

The thing is if I set it any lower I'll get out of the whole quicker but i'll be a out of boost for a second I tried setting it at 2500 WOT and dumping the clutch, it jumps hard but then takes a second to hit boost. I figured I could set it higher (3K rpm's) go about 3/4 throttle, dump the clutch and move into the gas. Do you guys hold it full throttle and dump the clutch or do you use a diffrent technique.

The point is to be able to build boost and not have the car bog on you. I could still go 3/4's throttle build boost and get out of the hole smooth.

The point of the box is to go wot and be able to dump the clutch. Ive used the same box on 10 cars with no problems. You need to work on your suspension, get a better hooking track, or turn the two step down in small increments.

Would you guys say its a bad idea to go 3/4's throttle and feather into it. What RPM is ideal? I know it all depend on track, suspension, boost, ect.

I plan to try mine out at 4K and see how it hooks (at the track) then go from there.
