What stall with a big single mount?
the tradeoff with lower str's is that they'll seem looser.
Too tight, and your converter won't flash up anywhere near where you make good power.
Personally for a street strip car, I'd go no lower than a 3500 true stall, and no higher than a 4500.
I need to see where my converter is flashing, maybe this weekend.
The 3500 is a good fit for a street/strip TH400 setup with a transbrake. It's plenty of stall for beating on it and cruising on the street. It's a nice balance of load and flashing to get up and go. The transbrake will allow you to hang up on the top end of the converter at the track and run it out at the top end.
