New T76mm Turbocharger on it's way to mi casa!
I'm looking forward to the upcoming battle of getting this Turbo installed and tuned. I've needed a new adversary ever since getting divorced from Devilores. This should provide plenty of Oomph since Forced Inductions said this turbo can support up to 1,000 Hp. I'm shooting for a more modest 600 rwhp since this is a street car. I'll post pictures and testimonials as things progress.

Scenario: It's 9:00am here in East Chatham, New York. I'm upstairs and I hear the dogs (Harley, the minpin and Rosie, the Long Hair Jack Russell) start barking their heads off. I'm thinking, "stupid dogs..They bark anytime a leaf blows across the yard..sigh..", and I finish brushing my teeth (I telecommute from here to Houston, working all day in my pajamas..don't be h8tin', lol) and then walk down to the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee. The coffee maker is beside the glass back door and out of the corner of my eye, I see a white box on the back porch.... I let out an appropriate Texas WoooHooo! and grab the box, put it on the dining table and open her up...

Now just waiting on the (already ordered/paid for) TS-38 Wastegate and Mototron 60# Fuel injectors. They should be here later today or tomorrow. I can't really start just yet. I still have lots to order but I'm well on the road and already $2,000 plus into it just with this much. I've been reading various "Forced Induction" forums and I've been learning a lot. One thing that is for certain, the STS Turbos (rear mounted, near the differential), in a lot of cases, are Kicking some serious *** with 9 second passes on forged lower ends. 700 plus hp in quite a few cases. Some of the traditional located Turbo LT1's are using everything under the sun for exhaust manifolds. Stock, Logs, Headers (Homebuilt and Pro built). The arguments for using logs is compelling. They are easy (but homely, but then again, so am I and I work REAL well!) and some log designed cars are putting out over 1,000 HP.
I'll keep updating this as I get parts and or progress.

post up your results with your TC76 when you get that far.....so far I haven't seen too many people post up what they are seeing with the TC76 other than spool time and what not. I hope to post up some good #'s with mine as soon as I figure out why it won't boost past 9psi.

Compact, fast spooling and *should* support near 1K on 346 cubes.

The Turbonetics warranty would have came in handy there.

And is very affordable for what you get, near 1k hp potential, 1 yr unconditional warranty...
One mean, you could run a brace for the turbo, but its not that "heavy" so to speak. My TC76 is supported soley off the crossover and truck manifolds(which are cast and very strong) I use to run my Gt42 that way too, and that thing weighed in at 45lbs. I should've had it supported or braced though.
You could also run a flex joint in your crossover for added flex if you are running a big turbo.

The Mototron 60 pounders arrived today.

I got these used from a guy on the LT1 edit list for $400 including shipping. They have about 500 miles on them. They are flow matched by Racetronics.
Another step towards Nirvana!

Ordered the Hot Parts kit a few minutes ago. Stainless steel log style. Half inch plasma cut header flanges, all the V bands/clamps, etc. The T76mm will be mounted where the stock Air Pump is usually located. Part of the weight of the Turbo will be supported by the drivers side T4 flange and additional support is from a quarter inch bar stock from the T4 flange to the header flange. The kit will have provisions for 3 O2 bungs. Two for the stock narrow band and one for my Innovate wideband O2 sensor. It'll be awhile since this is a custom kit. The projected delivery date is end of Jan to middle of Feb. That's okay. It's snowing right now so it's not like I could do anything if it were a shelf item.
